Sienna-Rose pushed open the door with a soft creak, and the two of them stepped inside. Two of their maids followed in to put the clothes out from the luggage, while the guard stayed on guard in his shift. The warmth of the suite wrapped around them instantly, the golden light of the chandelier catching in Haley's eyes as she tilted her head upward. The ceiling seemed impossibly high, carved and gilded like the inside of a palace, and the fire in the hearth filled the room with a steady glow.
Haley let out a quiet breath, almost a laugh, as she looked around at the velvet curtains, the silken canopy bed, and the fur throw spread across the rug. "This doesn't feel like a hotel room," she murmured, brushing her fingertips along the ornate back of a sofa.
