Deploying thrice the troops for battle is a rarity in the history of both the Bose Alliance and the Fermi Alliance, a sign of the high regard they held for the Wandering Alliance.
Unfortunately, they still didn't take it seriously enough; at least not to the extent necessary. Only when the three parties truly began to engage in combat, did they start to appreciate the terrifying nature of the Wandering Alliance.
Despite the seemingly small number of Battle Stars in the Wandering Alliance, their superior technological level and adoption of an elite military policy—valuing quality over quantity—meant that each Battle Star was incredibly powerful, each essentially representing the pinnacle of the Wandering Alliance's individual combat capabilities.
