Chapter 8 - The Grand Battle in the Sky Arena

Chapter 8: The Grand Battle in the Sky Arena

In the center of the arena, Victor and the celestial warrior Scott-Clint-Toup stood face to face. There was a strange tension in the air, as if this battle wasn't just about proving strength but was part of a much larger game.

Scott spoke in a deep, serious voice,

"My name is Scott-Clint-Toup, and I challenge you to a duel!"

Victor tightened his grip on his sword and slowly repeated his opponent's name,

"Scott..."

Thousands of celestial beings (angels) had gathered around, eagerly waiting for the match to begin. Suddenly, Scott flapped his golden wings and, in an instant, soared high into the sky. Victor didn't move a single step, but his eyes remained fixed on every movement of his opponent.

The Battle Begins

Scott dived down at lightning speed, his razor-sharp sword aimed directly at Victor. But just as his blade was about to strike, Victor swiftly lifted his own sword and blocked the attack!

Clang!!

The clash of swords echoed through the arena. Victor used his speed and agility to dodge Scott's attack and, like a gust of wind, slipped behind him.

The spectators were left stunned!

Among them, Jon, who stood outside the arena, was completely taken aback.

"What was that!?"

Seeing Jon's reaction, Alina laughed and asked,

"Jon, what's wrong?"

Jon's expression turned serious as he replied,

"Victor seems far stronger than before... how is this possible?"

Alina smiled slightly and said,

"Really?"

Her eyes sparkled with admiration, as if she was proud of Victor's power.

But as she watched him with growing admiration, Ben's jealousy burned even stronger. His fists clenched as he turned toward Max and whispered,

"We have to defeat Victor... we must humiliate him in front of everyone."

Max nodded silently, but his face showed that even he was beginning to recognize Victor's strength.

---

Victor's Strategy

Scott decided to use a special celestial battle technique—the Illusion Technique!

Suddenly, he appeared in three different places at once. The spectators gasped in shock, their eyes darting around, unable to tell which one was the real Scott.

But Victor simply closed his eyes, took a deep breath, and spun his sword at an incredible speed.

Within seconds, he formed a spinning blade vortex, and the real Scott—who had been hiding in the sky—was hit!

His wings were scorched, and with a loud cry, he crashed down onto the arena floor.

Victor swiftly moved forward, stopping his sword just inches away from Scott's throat. His eyes gleamed with an intense, almost terrifying glow.

---

The Audience Is Shocked!

Jon and the others were completely astounded.

"I still don't understand… how did Victor become this powerful?" Jon murmured.

Victor had already defeated six warriors in the arena, proving his strength beyond doubt. The thousands of angels seated around the arena were murmuring in awe- some were shocked, while others were impressed. All eyes were fixed on Victor, but the one who seemed the most captivated was Alina.

Her eyes gleamed with admiration for Victor, and every victorious strike of his brought a smile to her lips. However, that same smile felt like a dagger piercing someone else's heart-Ben.

Ben clenched his jaw and turned to Max, standing beside him.

"Now it's your turn. Defeat him... or kill him!"

Ben's eyes burned with jealousy and resentment. Max smirked, nodded, and stepped into the arena.

Max was slightly taller than Victor, with large black wings on his back. In his hand, he wielded a glowing blue sword radiating an eerie aura. The moment he stepped onto the battlefield, a strange energy filled the air.

Victor and Max locked eyes. No words were exchanged-just an unspoken understanding that this was going to be a brutal fight.

Without warning, Max flapped his wings and lunged at Victor with lightning speed. His sword came slashing down, but Victor swiftly blocked it, though the impact pushed him back, making him slide across the ground.

"He's fast... too fast!" Victor thought, regaining his stance.

Before he could react, Max launched another attack. This time, Victor barely managed to dodge, sidestepping just in time. Max twisted mid-air and struck again with incredible agility.

Their swords clashed repeatedly, sending sparks flying in all directions. Max relied on his aerial advantage, attacking from above, while Victor struggled to keep up.

Among the audience, Jon, Alina, and others watched with growing concern.

"Victor seems slower than usual," Jon said with a serious expression.

Alina's face tensed as well. She tried to remain calm, but deep inside, she was worried.

Max was clearly dominating the fight.

With a sudden burst of speed, Max knocked Victor's sword aside and delivered a powerful kick, sending him crashing to the ground.

For the first time, Victor felt exhaustion creeping in.

Max raised his sword, chanting an incantation-his blade crackled with blue lightning.

"This is bad..." Victor muttered.

Victor's Magical Counterattack

Just as Max was about to strike, Victor closed his eyes and focused all his energy. So far, he had relied solely on swordsmanship, but now he had to use his magic.

Victor slammed his sword into the ground, and instantly, a whirlwind of dust and sand rose around them.

"What the-?" Max exclaimed, confused.

Within seconds, Victor vanished into thin air.

Max frantically looked around but couldn't see him anywhere.

Then, out of nowhere, Victor struck from behind!

"What?!"

Max barely had time to react before he was sent crashing face-first into the ground.

Victor now stood over him, sword pointed at his chest.

"Max, you've lost," Victor declared with a smirk.

Max growled in frustration, trying to rise, but Victor planted his sword into the dirt, signaling that the battle was over.

The arena erupted into thunderous applause.

The angels in the audience murmured among themselves, astonished that a mere human had defeated such powerful warriors.

But the one who burned with the most rage was Ben.

"Victor... you've won Alina's admiration. But I swear, I will bring you down!"

His fists clenched, and his eyes burned with hatred.
