Kane's head hit the cabinet, and it made a loud thud. Railer was shocked and felt nervous. He wanted to get down and check on Kane, but he hesitated halfway.
Kane rubbed the spot on his head that hit the floor while he was confused and in pain. He couldn't understand why Railer was so angry, but he decided it was best to stay away.
"I didn't know she meant that much to you. Sorry," Kane mumbled after a while, but Railer stayed silent.
In a dimly lit room, a man wearing headphones had been listening to their entire conversation. Beside him stood the woman who had just met with Railer a few minutes ago. She sneered, "See? I told you he's easy to fool. How smart can a five-year-old be?"
The man shot the woman with a cold look. "You don't understand. This is our only chance. We can't afford any mistakes."
"Fine, fine. Are you satisfied now?" she replied, rolling her eyes.
