"Does the aquarium have great white sharks?" Uesugi Sakura suddenly asked, as he seemed to have never heard of such famous fish being kept anywhere.
"Nope," Hanamaru Hanabi gazed at the Gray Mako Shark, her hand on the transparent glass, the colorful underwater world reflected in her eyes, "they can't survive in a tank."
"Why not?" Aei twisted her head, her face pressed against the glass.
Hanamaru Hanabi smiled at her and said:
"They love swimming and need to swim to get oxygen. Their lifetime journey can span across two oceans, and no aquarium tank is as big as the sea."
"Are they all uncomfortable here?" Chiaei asked.
"Yeah."
"So, why are they put in here?" Aei asked.
Uesugi Sakura knew this, so he answered for Hanamaru Hanabi, "To let people watch them swim."
"So that's not a good thing then!"
"Not entirely, keeping sea fish like these isn't good for them, but it lets people learn about the ocean. You see, all around us are kids about your age."
