Even though there was a hint of overestimating his abilities, Noah still asked this question, because interacting with this ancient deity made Noah feel exceptionally comfortable.
This ancient god was, among the divine beings Noah had encountered so far, the one who made him feel most at ease. Even if this wasn't the deity's true form, the pretense, if it was, was enough to comfort him, and at least the other party was willing to pretend.
Whether considering his current feelings, the relationship between them, or the interests of their faction, Noah was very hopeful that this ancient god would return to the divine position.
