Chapter 128 - Chapter 128: An Agreement with Tony Stark

Morning had arrived.

Lance paused for a moment, weighing something in his mind, then took out his phone and dialed a number.

It took about half a minute before an angry voice came through on the other end.

"Don't magicians need sleep too?"

Lance, expressionless, replied in a nonchalant tone, "It's seven in the morning in New York. Los Angeles is three hours behind here. Even the laziest wizard shouldn't be sleeping this late."

"Hah, I always have a lot going on at night, you know?" The voice sounded irritated, mixed with the sound of fabric rustling—perhaps someone hurriedly getting dressed. A dissatisfied grumble came from the man on the other end, "What do you want?"

Lance glanced at Nancy—or Maxie—who was still asleep on the sofa. Even in her sleep, the girl's face remained tense, as if her thoughts never truly rested.

Lance's mood soured a bit. "Mr. Tony Stark, I want to make a deal with you."

"Oh?"

On the other end, Tony, who had just returned to Los Angeles, sounded a bit surprised. His tone shifted, now sounding more intrigued. "I thought you weren't the type to care much about material things."

"We'll talk later when we meet," Lance replied tersely, not wanting to waste more time on useless chatter. With that, he hung up the phone without hesitation.

...

...

...

"Hello? Hello?" Tony frowned, staring at his phone screen, which now only displayed a disconnected call.

"Sir, it seems the man has hung up," said Jarvis's characteristic AI voice.

Tony's eyelids twitched. "This is the first time someone has just hung up on me..." Tony snorted softly, then narrowed his eyes slightly. "Wait, did the man say he wanted to meet?"

Srrrkk!

A small spark appeared in the air, forming a glowing energy circle that slowly expanded. Within seconds, a glowing oval portal appeared before Tony, providing direct access to the figure now casually walking through.

Tony gritted his teeth and clicked his tongue. "Jarvis, remind me to install a quantum field disruptor at home."

Lance waved his hand, closing the portal behind him with a simple gesture. He responded to Tony's comment in a flat tone, "When you're done, don't forget to let me know. I'm also curious if your disruptor can interfere with my magic portal."

The scientific community indeed has speculative theories about space: when a spatial ring-shaped aggregation reaches a certain balance, overlap and penetration can occur, creating a destructive flow effect.

This ring-shaped spatial structure is called the penetration level, and crossing it means entering hyper-space transmission.

However, these changes occur at the quantum level—a phenomenon known in science as quantum entanglement. Theoretically, a quantum disruptor could interfere with this process, making teleportation ineffective.

Of course, that's just a theory from a scientific perspective. Lance didn't know if the same applied in his magical version.

If it could, then next time Lance needed to be more careful—lest someone actually use such technology to trap him.

He had to admit, high-level technology in this world was indeed remarkable. Especially when in the hands of mad scientists who could always create the unexpected.

"What do you want from me?" Tony glanced at Lance with his arms crossed, his expression appearing lazy yet alert.

On the other side of the room, a simple-designed robot slowly glided toward them, carrying a tray of drinks.

Lance stared at Tony for a moment before saying, "I say, let's make a deal."

Tony picked up his wine glass, swirled it a bit, then looked at Lance with an expression full of interest. "What kind of deal? Just say it."

"First, I want one of your plots of land in Long Island," Lance said bluntly.

Tony raised an eyebrow.

Lance felt that his current villa was too small. Neither Brynhildr nor Raigō had enough space to relax, and the cramped environment was not suitable for Lance to practice.

Therefore, Lance planned to build a large house in Long Island, complete with an illusion barrier so that Brynhildr and Raigō could roam freely without drawing attention.

More importantly—Lance wanted to build Las Noches underground.

Bleach has unique space-based techniques. Urahara Kisuke and Onmitsukidō have proven that they can construct large underground spaces as their secret headquarters.

So, why shouldn't Lance do the same?

Lance had now summoned monsters, the White Lantern Corps, and the Black Lantern Corps. Of course, as Lance's power grew, he also needed a headquarters. In the future, this headquarters would become a training center for new recruits as well as a place for creating more advanced equipment.

"Gululu… tut-tut…"

Tony sipped the high-quality wine he was enjoying. As he hurriedly grabbed a towel, he wiped his mouth slowly before finally looking at Lance with an expression full of interest.

"So, what can I get?" Tony asked casually, though there was a hint of hidden interest in his voice.

Lance remained calm. "Magic weapons," Lance replied briefly.

"Magic weapons?" Tony's eyes lit up instantly. Quickly, Tony clapped his hands, and a holographic screen appeared right in front of him. The holographic display was filled with various information—some in the form of news text, while others were photos and video recordings.

Tony scrolled through the screen a few times, zooming in on one video that caught his attention.

In the video, Vivi was seen swinging a large sword with both hands. Suddenly, lightning struck fiercely, illuminating the night sky. On the other side, Christine slammed the ground with her magic staff, creating a massive wave of energy that shook the surroundings.

Tony pointed at the weapons they were using. "Magic weapons like that?" Tony asked with interest. He then grinned and continued, "Thinking about it, they are your friends, right? I also saw your vehicle, that motorcycle and mechanical horse. Truly impressive."

The mysterious events in New York had become a focal point, even though the media covered it up, claiming it was just a large fire caused by a drug explosion. However, for those with power and deeper access to information, the truth was very clear.
