Olivia, on the other hand, felt that Aurora's words made sense. Immediately, she nodded, and both sisters went to a quiet corner of the ballroom, away from the crowd.
That was when they spotted it, a shining silver platter piled high with perfect little cupcakes. Each one was decorated with swirls of cream and tiny edible pearls that sparkled under the warm light.
Without another thought, Olivia reached for one, then another, then another. Aurora joined her, though she ate slowly, enjoying the soft sweetness. Olivia, however, was clearly on a mission. She had already unwrapped her second cupcake when Aurora gave her a side look.
"If you keep eating like this," Aurora said, lowering her voice so the nearby waiter would not hear, "you are definitely going to gain weight. Especially in the waist area."
