The first morning after the wedding, Aarohi woke up to the sound of rain tapping softly against the balcony glass. She rolled over to find Ethan sitting on the edge of the bed, tie in hand, his hair slightly tousled and a faint smile curving his lips.

"You're awake early," she murmured, voice still hazy with sleep.

He glanced at her. "I could say the same. You barely slept."

"Hard to sleep when you marry your boss," she teased, and he chuckled, the sound low and unfamiliar — a sound she still wasn't used to, though she loved it more than she cared to admit.

It had been two weeks since the wedding — an intimate ceremony overlooking the sea, just close friends, family, and a sunset that painted their vows in gold. Now, back in their apartment overlooking the city skyline, married life was both exactly what she imagined and nothing like she expected.

He still worked too hard.

She still worried too much.
