As soon as Adeline's back touched the plush surface, he reached for the edges, folding one side over her, then the other, wrapping her up carefully until only her head and the slender stretch of her neck were left visible.
With her arms trapped beneath the cozy weight, Adeline stared up at him, speechless, eyes wide as she tried to process what had just happened.

He slid his arms beneath her once again, lifting her and adjusting her position until she was sitting upright. He shifted the pillow behind her back and leaned her against the headboard, making sure she was comfortably propped up.
