Aitewen explained, "The energy source of this virtual creature seems to be based on a special frequency band in metaverse communication. If we can interfere with this frequency band, perhaps we can weaken the ability of this virtual creature."
Tom's eyes lit up. "Then how can we interfere with this frequency band?"
Aitewen thought for a while and said, "We need to restart the communication jammer in the base, but this jammer has been severely damaged. We have to repair it first, which requires finding some specific parts, and these parts may only be found in the storage room of the base."
Tom said without hesitation, "Then let's go to the storage room quickly."
The two walked carefully in the direction of the storage room. Along the way, they remained vigilant at all times, worried that some unknown danger might suddenly appear.
When they reached the door of the storage room, they found that the door of the storage room was closed tightly, and the control panel next to it showed that a password was required to open it.
Tom looked at Aitewen and said, "What should we do? We don't know the password."
Aitewen carefully observed the control panel. Suddenly, he noticed some subtle scratches on the panel, and these scratches formed some strange symbols.
Aitewen recorded these symbols and then compared them through his own analysis system. After a while, Aitewen said excitedly, "I know the password! These symbols are an ancient Martian password. After my analysis, the password should be 'Star of Hope 1234'."
Tom quickly entered the password on the control panel. With a slight mechanical sound, the door of the storage room slowly opened.
There was a stale smell inside, and various parts and equipment were placed messily. They began to search for the parts needed to repair the communication jammer in the storage room.
During the rummaging process, Tom found a log recording the research process of the scientific research base. He opened the log and found some records of previous similar crises and some coping methods.
Tom handed the log to Aitewen. "Look at this. Maybe there is information here that we can use."
Aitewen took the log and read it carefully. Suddenly, his face turned ashen.
Tom noticed Aitewen's change and asked, "What's wrong? What did you find?"
Aitewen said in a trembling voice, "According to this log, this kind of malicious program attack has happened once before, but that was at a small experimental base on Earth. At that time, although the Earth scientists successfully stopped the attack of the virtual creature, they found that the dark force behind this attack was from an unknown high-dimensional civilization. They were worried that if they continued to study metaverse communication technology, it would cause more interference from this high-dimensional civilization, or even a full-scale invasion."
Tom gasped. "Then what should we do now? If a high-dimensional civilization is behind this, do we still have a chance of winning?"
Aitewen clenched his fists. "We can't just give up like this. No matter how powerful the force behind is, we have to try to stop it. If we don't stop it, then not only will Mars be in danger, but the Earth and the entire universe may be shrouded in darkness."
Just then, a sharp alarm sounded in the storage room. Aitewen looked at the monitoring screen, and his face became even uglier. "Not good, that virtual creature seems to have detected us here and is coming towards us."
Tom said nervously, "We haven't found all the parts yet. What should we do?"
Aitewen quickly picked up the few key parts he had found and said, "Take these first. Let's find a place to hide and then figure out how to repair the jammer."
They found a hidden corner in the storage room to hide. Through the narrow gap, they saw a strangely shaped virtual creature emitting a faint light slowly approaching. Every time this creature took a step, the air around seemed to become colder and more oppressive.
Tom held his breath and whispered to Aitewen, "What can we do now?"
Aitewen whispered back, "Don't act rashly first. Wait until it gets closer. I'll try to attack it with the energy pulse on my body to see if I can temporarily stop its movement."
When the virtual creature got close enough, Aitewen suddenly rushed out of the corner and launched an energy pulse towards the virtual creature. The energy pulse hit the virtual creature, and it let out a shrill scream, but soon recovered and rushed towards Aitewen at a faster speed.
Tom saw that the situation was critical. He picked up a metal bar beside him and rushed up, swinging it hard at the virtual creature. The metal bar hit the virtual creature, splashing a shower of sparks, but the virtual creature just swayed slightly and then stretched out a tentacle to tightly wrap around Tom.
