Akeru was expecting many things after going to the designated area at the time Ren had mentioned.
However, he didn't expect the scene before him, even in his wildest dreams.
Asta was lying on the ground, pinned by a girl a few years older than him.
She had black hair, red eyes, with black-framed glasses around them.
Her curves, though not on the level of Vanessa's, were something that can't be ignored.
She wore a maroon crop top that barely covered her chest. A maroon mini shorts cut, exposing her hips, held up by a string around her waist.
The crazed look in her eyes only increased her allure as she intimately touched Asta.
'Am I in the wrong place?' He glanced around, relieved to find himself on a battlefield, not in a bedroom.
'I need to act quickly.' A glint appeared on Akeru's face as he took something from his waist bag.
CLICK
A faint click echoed through the clearing.
'Your hubby is being violated here. Told ya to keep him close.' He typed in his communicator and sent the message and the photo to Noelle.
CRACKLE
A wave of fire erupted, forcing the crazed woman away from Asta.
"If it isn't Lady Theresa in flesh. As expected to be still this powerful despite your age." Akeru did a half-bow, not caring about enemy attacks coming at him.
"If it isn't the golden boy gracing me with his presence. I thought I wouldn't be able to see you before I leave the world." Akeru could only wryly smile at her snarky comment.
"I actually came to the city to meet you. Didn't find you there, so came here," Akeru lied as naturally as breathing.
"Wait, you guys know each other?" Asta asked, confused.
Suddenly, a wind slash aimed at Akeru's neck dissipated just before contact.
Akeru turned his attention towards Blondie, with a scar on the left side of his face.
"Please let me take care of the pests." Akeru smiled.
Sally had injected something into the guy responsible for the experiment, turning him into a gigantic monster.
Several corpses charged at him, led by one wrapped in bandages, crackling with purple lightning.
From behind him, spheres made of ash could be seen threatening to consume him.
"Hush."
In the next second, everything hostile to him was reduced to a speed of one-hundredth, before being engulfed by red-green lightning.
Only the bandaged corpse remained, shielding itself with purple lightning.
All 4 enemies were out of his mana zone, including the giant Sally had created.
"Chaos." The colour of the red-green lightning intensified, overpowering the purple lightning and finally disintegrating it.
"Damn. So, this is what a Grand Magic Knight is. I can't wait to dissect him," Sally said with a crazed expression.
Akeru twitched.
"Woah." Asta looked in shock as he found every attack and army of corpses disintegrated, while Akeru didn't even move from his position.
"Fue-boy wasn't exaggerating about you." The old nun was impressed by Akeru's growth in the last few years.
"I still have a long way to go." Akeru rubbed his neck. 'Still far away from likes of Wizard King or Patolli, who are entry level if I want to stand a chance against the monsters of Spade Kingdom.'
His enemies didn't sit still.
"Let's take them as hostage," The witch sitting on the broom said, the ash around her moving towards the children.
The blonde with wind magic prepared a wind spell as he dashed towards the children.
"STOP!" Asta yelled, before his eyes widened.
Akeru stood between the witch and the blonde with a cold expression.
"It would get too annoying to restrain you guys. Bad Luck."
Puchi.
A small water blade appeared on both of their necks, severing them in the next instant.
The entire battlefield was silent, all the eyes on Akeru as he stood near the two headless bodies with an unreadable expression.
CRACK
A crack in space opened beside him.
"What d— THE FUCK?" Finral's expression morphed into disgust as he looked down at what was beneath his foot.
"Senpai, please transport them." Akeru pointed his finger at the children. "Plus, call Yami-san. I need his help."
"Help? Wh—"
Finral found the words stuck in his throat as he saw a light sword a few centimetres away from his right eye.
The only thing stopping it from piercing his eye was Akeru's hand, which gripped the light sword.
"Go," Akeru said in a no-nonsense tone.
Finral grunted in affirmation, dashing towards the kids.
"Well, well, who do we have? If it isn't the guy who likes to assassinate people. Have you fallen this low to attack kids? Such a noble purpose. I am touched." Akeru taunted.
He tilted his head slightly, dodging a light sword passing through where his head was.
"Master, sh—"
Valtos found a water bullet a few inches away from his forehead, only to be deflected by a sword made up of light.
"I will deal with him. Deal with other insects."
"Are you sure about that?" Akeru grinned, putting his leg on a severed head.
Patolli's eyes widened as he noticed the severed heads of his subordinates.
"YOU!"
A hand suddenly found itself a few inches away from his head, laced in red-green lighting, vibrating furiously.
Patolli's eyes met a pair of indifferent eyes.
'He isn't a human.' Patolli thought, instinctively using his movement spell to escape in another direction.
He appeared in another position, and to his shock, not only Akeru appeared there, but his hand almost grazed his neck before Patolli travelled in the opposite direction.
"Tch, almost had you. Guess you are quite good at running with your tail between your legs. Can't even take revenge for your subordinates."
Veins popped on Patolli's forehead. His heart beat racing, not due to the superficial anger but rather due to fear.
He had felt the familiar touch of death just now.
'How is he able to keep up with my speed?'
"How is he able to keep up with my speed?"
Patolli's eyes widened at Akeru saying his thoughts.
Multiple water bullets came at him, only to get destroyed by the light swords.
"It's quite simple." Akeru's hands again found themselves near Patolli, destroying all the light swords, preventing him from reaching him.
"You have an ordinary mind."
"Huh?" Patolli disappeared from his position, sending multiple swords at his previous location.
"So ordinary that light magic can't be fulfilled to its max potential." A voice said from behind, causing him to change his location again.
Snakes made of lightning pounced on him at his new location.
The battle had now turned into a game of chase.
Patolli looked around, only to find that Valtos had transferred his subordinates out of here due to the magnitude of their battle.
Finral had not only taken out the children but also taken out his side of the combatants.
All except Asta, who was watching their battle with rapt attention.
'Why does he have that grimoire?' Anger and disbelief swelled inside his mind.
"Eyes here."
He turned back only to find a water bullet coming from there.
Light formed around him in a protective cocoon, taking the blunt damage from the feint Akeru did as a massive force came from behind, throwing him like a rag doll.
"I take that back. You don't have a weak mind, but rather an undeveloped mind. You are a kid, aren't you?"
"???" Patolli had a confused look on his face.
"That's not your body, is it? I wonder who was the poor guy who got his body stolen."
As if the events happening till now were not audacious enough, Patolli heard another audaciously accurate thing.
"You... you need to die."
Swords hovered above before descending in a relentless barrage.
Akeru appeared beside Asta, his shell tanking all the attacks, as the cave fell.
They appeared on the surface soon after.
Whoosh
Multiple light swords appeared at their location, only to be tanked by Akeru's Shell.
"I can't even see his attacks," Asta said, awed.
"Me neither."
"Wait, what?"
Suddenly, a large whip made of light appeared in their view.
'He's somehow predicting my moves. Let's see how he predicts this.'
The whip started erratically smashing on the ground at random places.
'My shell won't be able to withstand that. The only reason I remained unharmed from his normal light speed attacks is due to using Ki to predict where he will hit and increase the defences in those parts momentarily.' Akeru hummed as he moved away.
A hand made of water grabbed Asta, pulling him away.
"Are we really okay against that spell?"
"Nah. We could become meat paste if that hit us."
Akeru manoeuvred around the area, dodging the whip barely every time.
"How about we raise the ante a bit?" Licht said, increasing the speed of the whip.
Suddenly, a smirk appeared on Akeru's face.
