"It's fine. Apply some ice to your face. If necessary, go to the hospital to get checked—medical expenses will be covered, and I'll have HR arrange a raise for you." I waved my hand dismissively, signaling for my assistant to leave.
The moment the door closed behind her, my expression darkened.
Sylvie Rothschild was not someone who would let this go easily. She would retaliate.
Knock knock—
"Come in."
Elijah hurried inside, his face tense with urgency.
"What is it?"
"Alpha, we just received news—Austin Woods' eldest son was killed in a school shooting yesterday. The funeral is today!"
I shot up from my chair—this was my chance to find Penelope! She would almost certainly attend her nephew's funeral.
"Send me the address and arrange temporary airspace clearance. I need to leave in the private jet immediately!"
