Morning.
When Hancock stepped out of her bedroom, she saw Nami pacing around the courtyard.
Glancing at the silent kitchen, she walked to the doorway and asked, "Didn't you make breakfast?"
Nami cast her a cold glance. "No."
Hancock immediately questioned, "Why didn't you make breakfast? What is this Empress supposed to eat?"
Nami had been evaluating the yard's space, remembering how Samui mentioned getting her an tangerine tree.
Hearing Hancock's words, she found them laughable and countered, "Robin and I cook and clean. What do you do?"
Last night, she and Robin had prepared dinner, but Hancock's attitude had deeply annoyed her.
Hancock declared self-righteously, "This is my home. I allow you to live here, so it's only natural that you take care of these things."
Nami retorted, "It was His Majesty who let us live here, not you. We have no obligation to serve you. His Majesty also said we should get along and share household responsibilities fairly."
She had always disliked arrogant people and had no intention of indulging Hancock.
Since staying here wasn't her choice to begin with, she felt even less reason to hold back.
Hancock's face darkened instantly. "How dare you speak to this Empress that way?!"
Nami was about to throw in another sarcastic remark when an overwhelming, terrifying aura suddenly crashed into her like a tidal wave.
Her mind went blank with a deafening "boom," and her entire body froze.
The calm pond in the courtyard suddenly rippled violently, and a gust of wind blew through from nowhere.
Robin had just stepped out of her bedroom but immediately leaned against the wall, her expression filled with pain.
"Nami…"
Hancock scoffed. "You're a hundred years too early to defy this Empress!"
At that moment, two dark figures suddenly appeared—one at the courtyard entrance, the other on the rooftop.
Hancock instantly withdrew her Haki.
"What's going on?"
Shisui, standing outside the courtyard, looked at Nami, who had collapsed unconscious on the ground, and asked.
Hancock, of course, recognized Shisui.
Back on Lightmarker Island, he had made one of the Three Calamities, Jack the Drought, kneel with just a single glance.
Regardless of his strength, the key point was that he was His Majesty's personal guard.
She averted her gaze and said, "This woman insisted on opposing me, so I merely taught her a lesson."
Now that the Conqueror's Haki had been withdrawn, Robin immediately rushed to check on Nami.
Seeing that she was only unconscious, she finally let out a sigh of relief.
Soon, another person arrived at high speed.
"Miss Samui." Shisui, upon seeing the newcomer, also felt relieved.
The moment he sensed Hancock's Conqueror's Haki, he had hurried over to check the situation.
But when he realized it was just Hancock and the others, he found the whole situation incredibly troublesome.
His Majesty's women… What kind of nonsense is this so early in the morning?
Samui frowned as she looked at the unconscious Nami and asked, "How is she?"
Robin remained silent.
Shisui, however, took a single glance and responded, "She's just unconscious."
Samui then said to Shisui, "Leave this to me."
Shisui nodded and looked up at the rooftop, only to notice that Kakashi-senpai had already left at some point.
After moving Nami to the living room sofa, Samui rubbed her forehead in frustration.
"What exactly happened?"
Robin sat nearby, her expression full of concern as she watched over Nami.
Samui then turned her gaze to Hancock.
Faced with Samui's questioning, Hancock suddenly felt a bit guilty and said, "She was the one who opposed me."
Samui asked, "And how exactly did she oppose you?"
Hancock remained silent for a moment before reluctantly responding, "…I told her to make breakfast, but she refused. She even said that I should also do household chores in the future. But this is my home."
Samui was left speechless.
This woman really needs some discipline.
She had once felt sorry for Hancock, but now she wondered—why didn't His Majesty handle her the way he had disciplined Tsunade back then?
"Just because of this, you attacked her?"
Hancock stubbornly replied, "I didn't do anything to her. She was just too weak to withstand my Haki."
Samui sneered, "Oh? I'm weak too. Before you withdrew your aura just now, I couldn't even get close to this place."
Hancock said, "You're different..."
Samui pressed further, "If Mabui refused to cook for you, would you do the same to her?"
"…"
Hancock fell silent.
She knew that her actions were excessive by normal people's standards, but her habits as an empress weren't something she could change overnight.
More importantly, these women weren't the type to be affected by her beauty at all.
Samui immediately said, "When Nami wakes up, you will apologize to her properly."
"…"
Samui glanced at her. "Did you not hear me?"
Hancock pursed her lips. "I understand."
"Also, from now on, all the housework in this home—cooking, cleaning, laundry—is your responsibility."
Hancock immediately panicked. "Why sh— I mean… I don't know how!"
She originally wanted to protest, but Samui's cold gaze completely stifled her momentum, forcing her to rephrase her words.
Samui said indifferently, "Then learn. And from now on, don't come to my place anymore. Mabui won't be cooking for you."
Hancock felt incredibly wronged.
She was the Empress, and now she was expected to do the kind of work only lowly servants did?
Sure, her current status was technically that of a servant, but could the Imperial Emperor's servant really be considered a common one?
Samui delivered her final warning. "If something like this happens again, it won't just be me here talking to you."
Hancock didn't dare utter a single word in protest.
Even though Samui's strength was nowhere near hers, she was someone close to His Majesty.
She couldn't afford to defy her.
Samui then looked at Robin and the unconscious Nami. "If she's not doing well, take her to the hospital."
Just as she finished speaking, Nami slowly regained consciousness, blinking in confusion.
"Robin…"
"Nami, you're awake."
"What… happened?"
Samui's eyes flickered slightly—what perfect timing for her to wake up.
She turned to Robin and said, "I'll be leaving now. If anything happens in the future, you can come straight to me."
Robin immediately stood up and said, "Thank you for your help. Take care."
Hancock remained silent on the side, and Samui didn't spare her another glance.
Nami rubbed her head—it really hurt.
She had actually regained consciousness a bit earlier and had overheard most of what Samui said.
Learning that Hancock had been punished, much of her anger dissipated.
In this regard, she was quite similar to Robin.
As someone who had grown up as a thief, she had developed a strong and resilient mindset.
A little injustice was nothing she couldn't endure.
Hancock stood in place for a moment.
Seeing that Nami was awake but not saying anything, she simply turned around and returned to her room without a word.
Watching this, Robin commented, "That woman was once the Pirate Empress, one of the Seven Warlords of the Sea, a figure of immense prestige. In a way, she's even more pitiful than us."
Nami said, "Is pity something that needs to be compared? No one here is going to spoil her."
Robin didn't argue and instead remarked, "That Samui lady seems like a good person. We should try to get closer to her."
Nami nodded—after all, it was Samui who had promised her the tangerine tree.
"Are you still feeling unwell?"
Nami pitifully nodded. "My head hurts."
Robin sighed with a helpless smile. "Then keep resting. I'll go make breakfast."
Nami put on a dramatically grateful expression. "Thank you, Mama Robin!"
Robin gently knocked on her head at that, then got up and headed to the kitchen to prepare breakfast.
From now on, it would just be the two of them living here.
The road ahead wouldn't be easy, so they had to support each other.
Robin made breakfast for three.
Since they were living under the same roof, she didn't want to be at odds with Hancock—otherwise, it would only make things uncomfortable for herself in the long run.
When Nami saw Robin knocking on Hancock's door, she didn't say anything and simply continued eating.
Hancock opened her bedroom door and saw Robin standing there.
Robin smiled warmly. "You haven't eaten breakfast yet, have you? I made a portion for you as well. Would you like to come out and eat?"
Hancock was stunned, looking at Robin in disbelief.
Robin chuckled. "You still have to meet His Majesty later, don't you? If you have work in the morning, it's not good to go on an empty stomach."
Hancock remained silent for a long moment before hesitantly saying, "But… I hurt your friend just now."
Robin replied, "It was just a misunderstanding, wasn't it? Nami's fine, and we're not holding it against you. Right, Nami?"
Sitting at the dining table, Nami sighed and reluctantly said, "Yeah, I don't mind."
Though her words were forgiving, she bit into her food with extra force.
"..."
Hancock stood there quietly for a while before finally mumbling, "S-Sorry…"
Robin was slightly surprised.
Seeing the once-proud Pirate Empress standing there, embarrassed and hesitant, made her smile even more.
"Come, let's have breakfast together."
This Pirate Empress—despite being so beautiful, powerful, and highly ranked—was unexpectedly simple-minded…
Robin pulled Hancock to sit at the dining table.
Looking at the delicate breakfast in front of her, Hancock found herself at a loss for words.
Robin said, "Later, I plan to go out and buy some things, then come back and tidy up the house. Hancock, you have work in the morning—if you need anything, just let me know."
Hancock was silent for a moment before suddenly pointing to a table in the living room.
"There's money in that drawer. His Majesty gave it to me, but I haven't really used it."
Nami pulled a stack of bills out of her pocket. "You mean this?"
Hancock froze. "I… don't think I told you where the money was?"
Nami coughed awkwardly and stopped talking.
She had been a thief before, and stealing was second nature to her.
When she first arrived in this house, she had instinctively pocketed the money.
Robin continued, "Hancock, before you leave, you can take out any dirty clothes you have. We can help you wash them."
"..."
Hancock looked at Robin's gentle expression, then turned to Nami, who was focused on eating her breakfast.
After a moment of silence, she said, "I'm sorry… Miss Nami."
Under the table, Robin lightly kicked Nami.
With a resigned sigh, Nami responded, "Fine, I forgive you. Just call me Nami from now on."
Hancock nodded. "You can call me Hancock as well."
Robin smiled. "From now on, we can consider ourselves a 'family,' so let's get along well."
Hancock nodded again. "In the future… I'll also help out with housework. I don't know much about cooking, cleaning, or laundry, but I can learn little by little."
Nami's mouth twitched at that, while Robin chuckled. "That's great. We can teach you, and you can take your time learning."
This morning's events gave Hancock a clearer understanding of her current situation.
She was no longer the lofty Pirate Empress.
Aside from the fact that the one she served was the Emperor of the Empire, her status wasn't particularly special.
Using force recklessly in this place would only bring trouble upon herself.
All she could do was lower her head and accept reality.
Robin understood this, and so did Nami.
Now that the three of them were living together, the best they could do was to get along peacefully.
In the morning, Hancock went to see the Emperor, while Robin and Nami went out to the streets to buy some necessities.
Other than some basic facilities, the house was practically empty.
As Nami counted the money in her hand, she couldn't help but complain about Hancock to Robin.
"For someone who was an Empress, Hancock is really lacking in presence. She doesn't have the dignity of a ruler at all—she's more like a spoiled rich girl throwing tantrums."
Robin chuckled. "Did you already forget how you fainted?"
Nami grumbled, "Yeah, yeah, she's ridiculously strong. But what's the point of all that power if she acts like a giant baby?"
Robin said, "Don't hold such a grudge. We still have to live together, so let's try to get along."
Nami sighed. "I know… At least His Majesty is generous—he gave us quite a lot of money for living expenses."
Back when she was under house arrest, she had wandered around Konoha enough times to get a good grasp of the local economy and currency value.
"Well, he is the Emperor of the Empire. There's no way he'd be stingy. Just think of it as our 'buyout price' for being here."
"Hah, as if this little amount of money is enough to buy me."
Robin suddenly fell into a pensive mood, lost in thought.
"What's wrong?" Nami asked.
"Nothing," Robin smiled.
"Let's buy some gifts later and visit Miss Samui's house tonight."
"You're really thoughtful. I didn't expect you to be so good at socializing." Nami laughed.
"Interacting with people on land is different from life at sea," Robin said.
Having wandered alone since childhood, she had long mastered all the skills necessary for survival.
The two of them headed to the shopping district in the new town.
There, they bought a lot of essential household items, along with some new clothes for themselves.
The clothing styles in this world were vastly different from those of their original world.
They also bought plenty of meat and vegetables to fill up the fridge.
As they walked out of the store, both of them looked at the large and small bags in their hands and couldn't help but laugh.
The people around them assumed they were just travelers from outside the city who had come to Konoha for a shopping trip.
Suddenly, Nami chuckled and said, "This feels just like when we used to go ashore for supplies..."
But before she could finish, her words abruptly stopped, and a hint of sadness appeared in her eyes.
Robin smiled and said, "Let's go home."
"Yeah."
At least the two of them were still together.
At least they still had a home.
And in that home, they could plant another tangerine tree.
