Nova sat on the balcony, the evening wind brushing past his shoulders, cooling the sweat on his back as the mark on his wrist continued to hum with quiet tension. He hadn't told the others yet, hadn't let slip that something had changed, other than the fact that she may be in danger, that something may be wrong with her, they only know that she was missing. That someone knew more than they let on.
It came just as the sun dipped behind the far-off ridge of the kingdom's wall.
A knock.
Soft. Deliberate.
Nova tensed, eyes narrowing as he turned from the stone rail and stepped to the door. When he opened it, the hallway was empty.
But something white lay at the floor's center; it was a familiar scene, same as the one the morning before.
An envelope.
He picked it up carefully, fingers brushing the edges before slipping it open.
"Come alone. Warehouse 9, Second Dock. Midnight. There's more you need to remember."
No signature.
No seal.
But the handwriting… it was the same.
