Livia gave Serena a brief, cool look. "Remember what I said," she murmured before following after right after Ryker.
Serena lingered for a moment, her breath catching in her throat. She could still feel the stares of the wolves around, their unspoken questions pressing against her like a physical weight. She squared her shoulders and followed, her steps steady despite the unease creeping up her spine.
It was an odd thing for Serena to hear that a town in Ironshade would have its own council; she had figured it was not permissible but they were. Ryker however did not seem phased by it. Maybe it was her raging thoughts but the stocky man even seemed to be in better spirits.
A slight frown found its way to Serena's lips, this situation was getting to her more and more than she would have liked to admit. She kept her smile fixed onto her lips and walked with her spine straight and followed Livia.
