Chapter 957 - Chapter 951: The Eldest Senior Brother Had Grown Tang Monk’s Flesh

As the number one intelligence expert in Game of Thrones, the Eight-Clawed Spider's spiritual instincts were exceptionally sharp. He could not detect the traces of gods, but when a deity observed him from close range, he could clearly feel his back grow hot and damp, his hairs standing on end.

There truly was some mysterious existence following behind him.

Its purpose was merely to monitor the scripture-transmitting team and evaluate the strength of each member. It had no intention of making a move immediately.

After all, in just a few short days, Master Qizang had already slaughtered five gods in succession.

Among them, the God of Ocean and Earth was considered one of the strongest among the gods of the Narrow Sea, easily within the top twenty.

So it did not dare act rashly.

But the dwarf was simply too good at drawing hatred. No matter what, it was still a god, and divine dignity did not permit itself to be insulted by a mortal.

The moment the dwarf recklessly shouted, "With me here, you trash will never harm Master Qizang!" it appeared at the edge of the square below the preaching platform.

A black shadow.

Embedded in its head was a single cyan eye glowing with ghostly light.

In the dead of night, on the empty and desolate plaza, it stood out especially clearly.

The dwarf saw it and was both startled and delighted.

Of course, he was also somewhat afraid.

But in an instant, he remembered two things.

First, the Dragon Queen had repeatedly told him that this world was extremely harsh toward transcendents and gods alike. Though they possessed many strange methods, there were still many times when they could be defeated head-on by powerful mortals wielding sharp weapons.

Second: Qizang slaughtered gods like dogs.

Especially the screw-monster claiming to be the "God of Ocean" they encountered that afternoon. The dwarf dared swear on his two dead fathers that after activating "Heavenly Descent," he could have chopped that thing apart himself.

As thoughts raced through his mind, courage toward the unknown evil surged into his chest uncontrollably, like the lust he felt when facing the newly widowed Sansa.

While shouting things like, "Demon, where are you? Come out and die!" pretending the monster had not yet appeared so as to reassure Qizang inside the sanctuary, he strode down the stairs and charged toward the figure at a jog.

As he ran, the runes of the Song of Diamond Strength lit up along his spine. His body visibly swelled, and painful growls escaped his mouth.

"Idiot, do you think we came here for that divine apostle? We came for the bloodline of a god!"

But when the dwarf came within ten meters of the ghostly shadow, a low and sinister laugh echoed from all directions.

The dwarf shivered violently.

In an instant, his overheated head cooled down, and an intense sense of danger flooded his heart.

"You all? Seven hells, there's more than one evil god!" He slammed on the brakes, his expression twisting. "Master, save me~~~~"

"Whoosh! Whoosh!"

Three shadows instantly appeared beside and behind the little giant. Black winds surged, sand and stones flew, and the dwarf vanished.

The cyan eye that had stood at the edge of the plaza also disappeared without a trace, blending into the wind? Into the darkness?

Varys did not know.

Standing at the entrance, he had witnessed everything, but he was the purest kind of muggle and understood nothing of divine methods.

He could not even tell whether the enemies were gods or transcendents.

The only thing he could do was twist his face in terror and shout toward the sanctuary hall behind him:

"Master, this is bad! The eldest senior brother got captured by demons again!"

"What?" Qizang was shocked and hurried forward.

But he could not move far because Arya was still holding onto his arm.

Arya said, "Master Qizang, you've been exhausted all day. Please rest. I'll go save Tyrion."

"Let's go outside and take a look first," Qizang said.

"Hound, stay here and protect Master. I'll go save him," Arya insisted.

"Stop arguing already! Tyrion's gone! The demons carried him off, and who knows where they went!" Varys shouted anxiously from outside.

"My instincts weren't wrong. They're evil gods, many evil gods! More than one! Hurry out here and save him!"

"Help! Master, save me! Master Qizang, hurry and save me!"

While Arya and Qizang argued over who should rescue him, the dwarf continued wailing because reinforcements had not appeared for what felt like "a very long time."

At the moment, his condition was not too terrible.

The evil gods had merely bound him with three black ropes that writhed like living creatures, rendering him unable to move.

Each held one end of the ropes as they floated up and down within a mass of black fog, rapidly moving toward the southern harbor.

Their movement method was strange. It seemed they were borrowing the power of the wind, yet there was also dense water vapor, as though they were wrapped inside a cloud.

Inside the black fog, the dwarf's vision was blurry. He could not see the scenery outside at all, nor could he tell whether he was on the ground, in the sky, or in the sea.

Around him were only four sinister and terrifying figures. The immense fluctuations of their divine souls made him dizzy and nearly suffocated him.

"Did you capture the wrong person? I'm not the leader of the scripture-transmitting team."

After waiting a long time without his master arriving, the dwarf could not help but think of saving himself.

"Even if you kill me, Qizang will still go to Yi City as the national teacher and spread the scriptures. I think if you want to uproot bandits, you must eliminate the leader. Only by killing Qizang can you stop the Seven Gods Church from entering Yi Land.

"So how about this? Just treat me like a fart and let me go. Then the four great gods can turn around and capture my master instead?"

"Heh heh heh, you think we care about Yi Land's religious faith?" the shadow with red eyes sneered.

"This fool is truly pitiful. Even now he still doesn't know why he's going to die," mocked the cyan-eyed creature that had lured the dwarf into his suicidal charge earlier.

Under the faint glow emitted from the eyeball, their human faces could vaguely be seen.

Dead men's faces.

Like corpses drowned at sea and soaked for ten days and nights, their cheeks swollen like steamed buns, their skin wrinkled, pale, and lifeless. Their gray clothes were stuck with bits of seaweed, dripping foul salty seawater.

Every drop of seawater that fell made the surrounding black mist even denser.

"You're not assassins hired by the rebel kings of Yi Land?" the dwarf asked blankly.

"Heh heh heh heh!"

The four water ghosts burst into mocking laughter.

One of them, with the face of an old woman, approached the dwarf and stuck out a pale, waterlogged tongue toward his mouth.

"Mmph! Mmph!"

The dwarf resisted desperately, clenching his teeth shut.

The old woman water ghost whipped her head, and the braid at the back of her skull moved like a living thing.

Then the greasy black rope around the dwarf's waist also came alive. It circled around and slipped beneath his skirt armor and into his crotch.

Cold.

Slimy.

Rough.

"AOOOHHH, NOOOOOOO!"

The dwarf finally could not hold back and screamed.

Then the old woman's foot-long tongue seized the opportunity and forced its way in, drilling down his throat and into his stomach. It churned violently a few times before suddenly splitting into countless steel-needle-like tendrils, like a sea urchin, viciously stabbing into his stomach lining.

The dwarf's eyes bulged, blood vessels spreading across them.

Pain crashed over him like a tsunami, swallowing him whole.

At the same time, he clearly felt something leaking out of his body. The tongue inside his stomach acted like the greediest leech, violently sucking away qualities that belonged to him: magic power, bloodline, soul.

The dwarf was shocked and furious.

The old woman water ghost was using blood witchcraft to steal his bloodline!

No!

He wanted to scream, but his mouth was blocked by the thick, long, icy tongue.

Yet he still cried out.

With his soul.

Then he began to counterattack.

Dragon-worm transformation of the internal organs!

"AOOOWUUU~~~"

This time it was the old woman water ghost's turn to howl.

Her scream sounded like blades scraping glass, piercing the ears.

The stomach transformed into dozens of writhing dragon worms. Some spewed scorching flames, while others bit into the old woman's tongue.

She tried to pull away, but the dragon worms clung stubbornly and continued sucking greedily.

The dwarf, having inherited the legacy of the Valyrian High Priest, also knew blood magic!

The bloodline power, magic, and soul fragments he had lost all returned to his body. Not only that, he was now frantically plundering the old water ghost's origin essence, a filthy pale liquid resembling a mixture of vomit and corpse water.

The dwarf wanted to vomit, but he endured it and continued sucking desperately until the slimy, rough black rope emerged from behind him and violently churned inside his body.

"AOOOWUUUU~~~~"

The pain brought tears streaming from his eyes.

The old woman water ghost seized the opportunity to yank back her tongue, now riddled with holes.

"Hahaha!" The one-eyed water ghost nearby laughed strangely. "That's what you get for stealing a taste!"

The old woman water ghost shouted angrily, "His blood witchcraft is even stronger than ours!"

"Why do the gods target him? Why is there a saying that eating the Holy Monk's flesh grants immortality?" another water ghost beside them said dismissively. "He's the biological brother of the Child of the Era. He possesses divine bloodline. Isn't it normal for him to know blood witchcraft?"

The old woman water ghost fell silent.

But hearing this, the dwarf became agitated.

"So your target wasn't the scripture-transmitting team, but me? Just because I'm Daenerys's bastard older brother?"

"Of course. What does Yi Land's faith have to do with the gods of Essos? If not for your identity as a divine child, why would the gods of the various city-states leave their temples and travel thousands of miles for you?"

"I... I'm innocent!" the dwarf cried. "I'm not a divine child. I'm just a bastard."

"The definition of a divine child is direct blood kin of a true god."

"My bloodline rank is low, and my talent is terrible. Otherwise, why would I need to go to Yi Land seeking a future?" the dwarf said tearfully.

"If your talent were truly exceptional, we Four Ghosts of the Narrow Sea wouldn't dare target you," said the blue-eyed ghost.

Hearing this, the dwarf hurriedly said, "Four great kings, please listen to me. No matter how poor my talent is, my sister still cares deeply about me. If you target me, she will definitely take brutal revenge."

"You think I fear her?" the blue-eyed ghost sneered.

"But didn't you just say..." the dwarf said blankly.

"The stronger your talent, the more your bloodline contains Daenerys's secrets.

"Who doesn't know by now that she comprehended the Song of Fire, the Song of Wind, and the Song of Light?

"Especially the Song of Fire and the Song of Wind. The Song of Wind was personally taught to her by Old Fish-Weirwood, the previous Wind God. Do you know that old tree's status among the gods?

"He is the god king in all but name!

"In other words, your sister may be able to sing a god-king-level Song of Wind.

"And even more terrifying than the Song of Wind is her Song of Fire. Many gods now believe she may have comprehended the highest level Song of Fire, one containing the power of creation itself, capable ultimately of summoning the Secondary First Flame.

"Now do you understand her achievements? Do you understand how noble your identity is?

"You are the biological brother of the future number one god king!"

As he spoke, the blue-eyed water ghost's tone was extremely complicated.

There was awe.

There was admiration.

But even more than that, there was jealousy, resentment, and greed.

"Though I don't fully understand, should I feel proud? My little sister is actually this incredible? The biological brother of the future number one god king? Fuck, I didn't even know I was this noble," the dwarf muttered blankly.

"Yes, you should feel proud. She is not yet the strongest heavenly god, and there's still a high chance she may die young. But in terms of potential and future prospects, no one in history can compare to her.

"But by the same token, you should be afraid. Do you know the value of the bloodline and law secrets of the most promising heavenly god in history?

"And now, they exist within your bloodline. Through your bloodline, one can perceive laws belonging to Daenerys."

The blue-eyed water ghost spoke excitedly.
