What exactly had happened?
But a few days later, she had gone numb to it. Gains came in almost every other day. All the gods had been slain by Saint Matthew, who had comprehended the "Heart of Compassion," while Arya had also killed quite a few transcendents.
The world suddenly felt unfamiliar, giving Daenerys the strange illusion that transcendents and gods had become as common as weeds.
Less than a week after the scripture mission team departed, the Seven Gods were officially complete: the Smith, the Mother, the Warrior, the Stranger, the Father, the Crone, and the Maiden. All were now present.
Within the doctrine of the Faith of the Seven, the Father represented justice and presided over judgment.
After gaining the Father's divine office, Daenerys, together with the Great Black Dragon Spirit, obtained two abilities: the "Eye of Justice," which let her instantly tell whether someone was human or monster, and the "Scales of Judgment," where she alone determined the rules.
The Eye of Justice was easy enough to understand. By analyzing mental fluctuations and soul aura, it could determine whether someone was lying and whether they were righteous or evil.
It was roughly a combination of a lie detector and mystical demon-sight.
Of course, true demon-sight could reveal a monster's original form at a glance. The Eye of Justice could not do that. It only analyzed the target's attributes.
For example, the shadow demon R'hllor had once disguised itself as a human at Eastwatch, intending to ambush Daenerys. If she had possessed the Eye of Justice back then, she would have immediately sensed that the aura around it was wrong.
The Scales of Judgment were even more mysterious than the Eye of Justice, but also far more incomplete. It had not even formed a prototype yet, only a vague concept.
Had Daenerys not gradually begun replacing the Three-Eyed Raven as the "Heavens" of Westeros, she might have overlooked this bizarre Father-given talent entirely.
It represented the Father establishing fair and impartial laws, then imprinting those laws upon the River of Fate.
If believers sought "the Father's justice," the Father's mark would influence them through the River of Fate.
For example, before the Father appeared, Westeros had maintained traditions such as trial by combat and the Trial of Seven for six thousand years. The sacredness of trial by combat was almost equal to guest right.
So, could trial by combat represent the justice of the Seven Gods?
Previously, no. Even now, still no.
But if one was devout enough to attract the Father's gaze, she could interfere with fate itself and ensure that judgment unfolded according to her rules of fairness and justice.
To put it simply, the Father's judgment involved fate itself. Unfortunately, the Seven Gods were limited in ability and not truly proficient in the path of fate.
Perhaps in the future, Father Daenerys could use fate itself to realize true fairness and justice in the mortal world?
The new divine art obtained by the Sevenfold Scripture, "Fiery Golden Eyes," was an incomplete version of the Eye of Justice. It could only distinguish good from evil and could not use mental fluctuations and soul aura to determine whether someone was lying.
Besides the Father, the Great Black Dragon also illuminated the divine office of the Crone.
The Crone represented wisdom and experience. Loading this divine office granted the Dragon Queen two abilities: Brain CPU and Brain Mechanical Hard Drive.
Brain CPU meant accelerated thinking speed. By consuming the Crone's divine power, her thought processes could increase by ten to a thousand times.
In truth, thought speed likely had no upper limit, but the human body had its limits.
Daenerys tested it herself. At one thousand times acceleration, her head felt as though it were about to roast. Her face turned red like a steamed crab, and white vapor even rose from the top of her head. It was literally evaporated steam.
She resembled an overclocked computer on the verge of catastrophic failure.
The side effects were immense, but the benefits were equally astonishing. If the Dragon Queen ever opened a vegetable stall at the market, she would not even need a calculator anymore.
Well, the effect of becoming a human calculator was not particularly impressive. It was only a thousand times faster, after all.
Its real value lay in cultivation and combat. Cultivation speed itself could not increase a thousandfold, since cultivation relied more on enlightenment, but the speed of solving difficult problems would absolutely improve by that amount.
In battle, the advantage of accelerated thought was even more obvious, because many divine arts were cast through soul power. After increasing thought speed by a thousandfold, casting speed reached something akin to instant forbidden spells.
The benefits the Father and the Crone brought to Daenerys were direct and profound, even causing qualitative changes to both her strength and her mode of existence.
But the final divine office of the Seven Gods, the Maiden, was somewhat awkward.
The Maiden's divine office was not illuminated together with the Crone and the Father. Several days later, after another massive wave of divine essence arrived, the Seven Gods were finally completed.
For thousands of years, the Maiden had represented purity and chastity.
To put it bluntly, girls were expected to remain obedient virgins.
Once they married and lost their virginity, becoming women instead of girls, they were no longer expected to worship the Maiden and no longer qualified to do so. They would instead worship the Mother.
Such doctrine did not suit the Dragon Queen at all, so when she revised the Seven-Star Scripture, she modified the "Chapter of the Maiden" more than any other section, directly changing it into "Freedom and Holy Light."
The new doctrine had only been circulating for a few years, and the new divine office had not fully formed yet. As a result, Daenerys received a bizarre half-new, half-old talent: the Mary Sue Aura.
When she activated the Maiden's divine office, her waist-length silver hair would emit a faint glow. Every strand shone with holy light like luminous glow sticks.
If she wished, her hair could become any color.
For example, when her hair turned red, it emitted an aura that made everyone around her instantly realize she was angry, while also making them anxious because of her anger.
When her hair turned grayish-white, those nearby would feel a faint sorrow, like autumn wind blowing away yellowed ginkgo leaves. Then they would ache because of her sadness.
Her hair could also become rainbow-colored cherry blossom shades, dazzlingly beautiful and utterly enchanting, making others feel joy because of her excitement.
Not only did her hair shine with holy light, but even her skin became crystal-clear beneath it, white and radiant.
It was not only her hair and skin that glowed. Even her eyes...
Combined with her identity as the Wind God, she could even make her hair and skirts flow forever in the most graceful arcs.
She could even summon multicolored flower petals to swirl around her while tiny fairies sang for her upon the wind.
Compared to her, figures like Ice Crystal Tear Butterfly · Lianxue · R · Shang Zixuelisha · Viyara or Guarjia Aisin Gioro Elizabeth were utterly insignificant.
Maiden Daenerys was the God of Mary Sues in the world of A Song of Ice and Fire!
But aside from making Daenerys cringe so hard she broke out in goosebumps, this ability was nearly useless.
Well, not entirely useless. She figured she could at least design different visual styles for the various divine offices of the Seven Gods in the future.
For example, inside the Stranger's cloak, there ought to be a cold-faced girl with long black hair, pale skin, and blood-red eyes.
After the seven divine offices merged into one, Daenerys discovered another benefit. Her control over the Faith Space deepened.
Previously, it was as though she only owned one-seventh or two-sevenths of the shares. But since she was the only shareholder, even one-seventh ownership still gave her total authority over the Faith Space.
Now, with complete ownership, she fully controlled the "Seven Gods Unlimited Liability Company."
She could even attempt to split the Faith Space apart.
That was right. Divide one space into two, or even three.
Daenerys was currently considering whether to separate Heaven and Hell.
Long ago, she had already considered building a seven-layered hell specifically for the people of Westeros under the Stranger's authority.
The core of Hell would exist within the world of death.
First, she would find a geomantically ideal location in the mortal world that connected yin and yang, then anchor the conceptual Hell there, turning it into the gateway to the underworld of the A Song of Ice and Fire world.
The model resembled the "Ghost City of Fengdu" and "Mount Tai Hell" from ancient eastern mythology, where the underworld itself was considered a type of hidden paradise realm.
It was precisely because the scripture mission team had brought such enormous benefits that the Dragon Queen decided to increase her investment, doubling the compassionate divinity of the Sevenfold Scripture's Mother aspect.
The main purpose was to strengthen the connection channel between him and the Mother, ensuring that even after traveling far east beyond Westeros, he would still remain overwhelmingly powerful.
Yes, asking the city-state princes to issue travel permits was naturally Buddha Daenerys's twisted sense of humor. But constructing temples of the Seven Gods in the Free Cities and gradually establishing faith through the distribution of indulgences truly did benefit the transmission of divine power.
Before Daenerys gained the allegiance of the Three-Eyed Raven, the transmission efficiency of divine power between the Seven Gods and devout believers in Westeros—those with devotion levels above ten—was about fifty percent. Once she fully absorbed the Greenseer's Mark, the efficiency would likely rise to eighty percent.
That would mean the qualifications required to become a priest could drop to the level of ordinary people, to the point where nearly every household could have one.
Of course, she would never allow the profession of "priest" to become so devalued. A world where every household had a priest would never come to pass.
Across the Narrow Sea, in Pentos where no temples of the Seven existed, efficiency dropped from fifty percent to forty-five percent. Further east, Qohor was forty percent, Vaes Dothrak thirty-five percent, the Bone Mountains thirty percent, the Yi lands twenty-five percent, Asshai by the Shadow twenty percent, and the far eastern Lands of Darkness fifteen percent to zero.
If temples existed, such as in Slaver's Bay, faith efficiency could rise to forty percent, five points higher than normal. If temples stretched continuously from Pentos to Slaver's Bay, another five percent could be added. If faith became stabilized over several thousand years, then divine transmission efficiency across the world would eventually become mostly uniform.
Westeros would still remain the highest, while other regions would be slightly lower.
Besides divine essence, Mother Daenerys also bestowed the divine art of Fiery Golden Eyes upon Master Sevenfold Scripture, ensuring that no demon or spirit could escape his sight.
Uh... a master possessing Fiery Golden Eyes paired with a senior disciple constantly needing rescue by his master... what a strange combination.
