The Command Doom roared, its two massive forelimbs slamming down on the ground, causing a huge aftershock. It completely ignored Sasha, focusing solely on Noid. The Command Doom couldn't understand why it was so afraid of this person, as if the fear was etched into its very genes.
Noid paid no mind to the Command Doom and turned to Sasha, speaking in a low voice.
"Is this... really okay?"
"I can handle it this time."
Sasha stood up straight, feeling an immense, unprecedented power. While there was still a power gap between her and the Command Doom at its peak, it was no longer as significant as before.
Noid nodded, and his Cosmic Wings carried him soaring into the sky. She watched his figure get farther and farther away, then swung her sword and moved so fast that she left a long streak in the air.
Bang!
The Command Doom was pushed back. It had already been severely injured by Noid's previous blow. Now, having to face a powered-up Sasha, it was in indescribable misery.
Noid flew through the battlefield. The centipede-like Command Doom was approaching. He used his console to check the stats of all three Command Doom.
Gorilla-shaped Command Doom: 5.3
Flying Centipede-shaped Command Doom: 5.5
Spider-shaped Command Doom: 5.2
Traveler No. 999: 7.9 (Current stat)
The centipede-shaped Command Doom saw Noid approaching, and its fear instantly surpassed its destructive instincts, causing it to turn and flee. But his speed was too great. He instantly shot in front of it and with a single punch, sent it flying out of the city wall area, where it crashed down outside the defensive line.
It was screaming in pain. Just like the gorilla-shaped Command Doom, Noid's attacks were not purely physical; they contained energy. This energy shattered the crustacean armor they were so proud of and destroyed the doom's internal structure.
He stood in the air, looking down at the giant centipede writhing below. With a wave of his hand, Cosmic Energy condensed into a sea of stars. This wasn't just for show. Each star fell as a meteor. Thousands upon thousands of meteors rained down on the Command Doom.
Boom boom boom boom boom!
The meteor shower bombarded it continuously. The Command Doom wanted to escape, but its body was getting heavier and more fragmented. After only crawling a few hundred meters, it was completely shattered and died, becoming a black smear on the ground.
Noid wasn't finished. He flew up several kilometers into the sky, taking in the entire sprawling battlefield. He locked onto hundreds of thousands of aerial doom, then an equal number of meteors lit up the sky and fell.
"This is too overwhelming..."
Looking at the entire battlefield, which was tens of square kilometers and now covered in meteor streaks, the command post was left speechless. Could this kind of power really come from a human?
Only the commissioner wasn't surprised, because she knew that Noid had used the cube and had even seen firsthand how he used it to wipe out all the followers of the Doom Cult at their base.
All the aerial doom were annihilated. He remained there, observing. The enhanced cyborgs were now focused on eliminating the remaining two Command Doom, especially Sasha, who was one-on-one with the gorilla-shaped Command Doom and was even gaining the upper hand. The doom that had spread throughout Rorgh City was now being handled by the army and the citizens, all of whom had been strengthened by him. Only the elite doom and the doom legion that had yet to breach the defense line remained.
Noid flew out, confronting millions of doom. Star power accumulated in his palm. He held it out in front of him, and the glowing orb, only the size of a ping-pong ball, exploded into a sweeping storm, wiping out all the doom in its path without harming the surrounding environment or infrastructure.
Noid returned and began hunting down the elite doom, while also checking on the followers of the Doom Cult. During his search, he discovered that besides the small fry, the cult's main leaders had all fled. The cells of the High Priest and Toriel were also empty; they had likely been rescued during the chaos.
Sasha plunged her greatsword down, and the head of the Command Doom rolled off. Even though she was enhanced and the opponent was heavily injured, it still took all her strength to kill it.
On the other side, the last leg of the spider-shaped Command Doom was severed, and its body was then torn to pieces, confirming its death.
All the doom were completely annihilated, not a single one was left behind. If one had been missed, Noid only had to wave his hand, and a meteor would lock onto it and shoot down.
"We... won!"
Everyone erupted in cheers. Who could have imagined that a situation so dire that the human forces had already accepted the loss of defense line 17, hoping only to save as many people as possible, would be reversed so spectacularly?
Everyone looked up and saw the hero in the white armor descend. The wings on his back disappeared, and the armor dissipated, revealing Noid's face. He was not the type of person who would stand out in a crowd. He looked pleasant and somewhat gentle; no one could believe that this was the person who had just single-handedly turned the tide of battle and saved Rorgh City.
The crowd became ecstatic, especially the children and teenagers, both boys and girls. But they did not push or rush him, instead, they voluntarily made way for Noid. This was their respect for him.
Afterward, the army came to escort him back to the military base. When they met, all the soldiers, whether injured or not, gave him a solemn military salute.
Noid was a little embarrassed, but fortunately, it didn't last long. He had arrived at the command room.
Seated there were mostly high-ranking military officials, some of whom had their arms bandaged, apparently having just returned from the battlefield. The commander of the Rorgh City army personally bowed to thank him, and Noid had to help him up. The others did the same.
Noid met Sasha, the other cyborgs, and the commissioner.
"Thank you, Noid, for everything you've done."
"Noid, I know it's very impolite. But could you please come with us to Lysandra City? To meet the High Council."
Before he could answer, Sasha stood up, staring at the commissioner.
"Ma'am, this is not a good way to treat someone who has contributed so greatly."
Everyone in the room, including the commander, said nothing, but their attitudes were clear. The commissioner slowly explained.
"You've misunderstood. The High Council has been searching for Noid for ten long years. And we will not cause him any harm or disadvantage. We will only tell him everything. It will all be Noid's choice."
"It's okay, Sasha, I agree."
Noid wasn't naive or easily trusting. He knew the commissioner was trustworthy, and since the High Council was her origin, they probably weren't so bad either. Most importantly, Noid's current strength was simply too powerful—so powerful that even if all the cyborgs and humanity's trump cards attacked him at once, they couldn't defeat him. Therefore, he had his own confidence.
"Ms. Sasha, as the strongest cyborg on defense line 17, you will be the representative, along with the commander and Noid, to go to Lysandra City. The savior has appeared, and it is time for everyone to know the truth."
