Chapter 41 - Chapter 41: Break The Siege

"Madam of the Supreme Council, I'll give you a reminder. You are the one who is surrounded."

"Can you feel it? The fear, the heart almost stopping, the blood rushing to the brain, do you... feel it?"

The aura of this fanatic became more terrifying and sinister. The soldiers were sweating profusely. The elderly woman narrowed her eyes, not flustered in the slightest.

"So, what can I call you?"

"Just call me the bishop, madam."

The bishop's figure was so fast it became an afterimage. Gunfire rang out, deafening, but there was a smaller sound, the sound of air being torn.

A soldier suddenly stopped shooting, his helmeted head rolling down, and the blood from his cut neck drew an arc in the air. The bishop stood not far away, his claws still dripping blood onto the ground.

He had completely cut off a person's neck, even though that person was equipped with an armored suit. Furthermore, with his current relaxed demeanor, it was as if he had just cut a piece of paper.

"How could he..."

The elderly woman was stunned. She had only seen this kind of power in modified humans equipped with first-generation armored suits. But they were the pinnacle of human achievement. It was already a surprise that the crazy Doom Cult could haphazardly create modified fanatics. They absolutely could not have created someone like this.

"You! Who are you?!!"

"As I said before, madam. You can call me the bishop."

Three more soldiers lost their heads, but at this moment, a red figure shot toward the bishop like a rocket.

Clang!

A loud collision shook the battlefield. The bishop was pushed back. The red figure revealed itself to be an armored suit, identical in design to a modified human's armored suit, but it was red.

"Red Guardian, this is the one I was waiting for."

The bishop smiled, ignoring the spear in the Red Guardian's hand pointed directly at his face.

The woman also let out a sigh of relief.

Modified humans were not a single unified group within humanity but were divided into two military branches.

Red Guardians. They came from a military background, participated in the modified human experiments, and were then given the mission of protecting humanity's key figures. This included the members of the Supreme Council, Commander Lysandra, and a few others. They were the personal guards of an important person, prioritizing that person's life above all else.

Blue Warriors. They could be anyone, and they became humanity's main combat force against the dooms. Sasha was a typical example.

The way to distinguish between the two branches was by the color of their armored suits.

She was one of the supreme council's leaders. Of course, she would have a Red Guardian following her for protection.

The bishop took out a black handle. On it were bone spikes the size of a hand, stacked on top of each other, and connected by a long string made of who-knows-what. He swung the handle, and the blade turned into black streaks around him. The string contracted, and the scattered bone spikes reassembled into a complete blade.

"Shall we continue? Red."

The Red Guardian swung his spear to thrust, but the blade separated into a whip shape, deflecting it, and then retracted into a blade shape again. The bishop rushed forward, and the blade slashed vertically. The two black and red figures began their decisive battle.

...

Noid was currently struggling to get out of the car's window.

Fortunately, the car had been renovated to be sturdy, so it wasn't completely destroyed. The people inside were only injured from the impact.

He was helping someone up when a scream of agony came from outside. Noid looked out and saw a group of people dressed in the standard Doom Cult attire, carrying weapons and killing people in the other cars. The soldiers were also fighting fiercely, and he could even see some modified fanatics appearing, fighting with the soldiers in armored suits.

A group of followers with guns began to head toward this car. Noid put the person he was helping down. He shouted toward everyone.

"Everyone, don't leave the car! It's a Doom Cult ambush!"

"Noid, how did you know..."

To everyone's surprise, his body was covered in a black armored suit. A dark windbreaker fluttered, and his eyes glowed with a faint green light. This appearance was known to everyone living in Rorgh city. He was the man in black.

He didn't care about revealing his identity anymore. He quickly rushed outside to fight.

But the people in the car were still in a state of shock, including the driver. Most of them were Noid's regular customers. They couldn't believe that the gentle coffee shop owner they met during the day was the fear of the Doom Cult at night.

"It's Jack, maybe that's why..."

A middle-aged man sighed. He was one of the first people to drink coffee at his shop and, of course, knew about Jack's existence and that accident. He could also understand why Noid would do this.

Outside, the battle had already started.

These followers were not simple. Although they were a little surprised that the man in black was here, their training quickly made them organize and start shooting. It was a pity for them that Noid had also improved a lot. His physical stats were close to the peak of 0.8, and the A.T.A Armor resisted the rain of attacks from the followers.

Noid charged directly into the middle of the followers, engaging in hand-to-hand combat. His legs, hands, and gun butts swung out continuously. The fight ended with a paralyzing shot.

A punch sent three blood-stained teeth flying from the last remaining follower. He then shot the follower in the forehead. He continued to move toward the other areas.

The other battles were even more intense. More than a hundred people, both soldiers and followers, were shooting and killing. Dozens of pools of blood had already appeared, mostly from the refugees and workers.

"Captain! This isn't good! Many people are losing too much blood!"

"Prioritize protecting the civilians! Lead a group of people to the supply vehicles!"

"But if we do that, they'll push through... wait, captain! Something's happening with the enemy."

Following the direction the soldier pointed, the captain saw a person in black moving back and forth among the followers. Many of their screams of agony rang out. The person, with a baton and a gun, was like a tiger in a flock of sheep. The shooting from the enemy weakened.

They all recognized the person over there, and their expressions became excited. Although they didn't know why that person was here, this was their perfect opportunity.

"Send a squad to the supply vehicles! Everyone else, follow me and provide cover fire! Be careful not to hurt our allies!

A layer of Doom Cult followers fell, shot dead. They were angry and wanted to turn back to kill the soldiers, but Noid had already broken through from the inside. His baton and gun flashed with electricity, turning the followers' formation into a pulp.

Shooting from the outside, disrupting from the inside, these followers could only fall with hatred.

Noid didn't stop to say hello. He entered the highest-level battlefield. He injected the madness drug into his body. His heart began to contract at a terrifying frequency, and his blood heated up as if it were boiling, but his expression didn't change.

The A.T.A Power Armor appeared. His eyes turned to a cold blue. The blade in his hand turned into a black streak and stabbed toward the head of a modified fanatic.
