Chapter 89: Systems Recalibration
Thirty minutes later, the team reassembled at the round table. Cream Puff projected simulation footage above them — glowing trajectories of every movement, every energy pulse, every sync fluctuation.
> "Summary," the AI began. "Synchronization average: ninety-five percent. Peak cohesion: one hundred twelve percent. Latency incidents: three. Corrected in under two seconds."
Theo leaned forward slightly. "Acceptable."
Kael nodded. "Could tighten initial transitions."
Alyssa gestured toward a section of the hologram. "Zephyr's interference bursts improved team timing by two percent. His chaos offset stabilized Ava's over-channel."
Zephyr blinked. "Wait — my chaos helped?"
Cream Puff replied dryly, > "Statistically, yes. Accidentally beneficial."
Zephyr put a hand over his chest. "That's the nicest thing anyone's ever said to me."
Brian muttered, "Low standards."
Lyra smiled faintly. "Still true."
