Chapter 256 - Chapter 256

Temari was initially taken aback by Yoruha's display of power, but she found it hard to believe such an unbelievable claim.

It was just too incredible. "How is it possible? How could something like time travel happen?"

"And what about Mukade? Did he also travel through time?" Yoruha didn't answer Temari's question directly but instead said, "That's something you'll have to ask her."

Sara had been wary of the two since their arrival.

Now that Yoruha turned his attention to her, she grew even more nervous. She took a few steps back and ran toward the door.

Yoruha chuckled, "Look, you've scared the little girl." Temari remained skeptical of Yoruha's words.

Yoruha didn't bother to explain further and simply said, "You'll see for yourself once we go outside."

With that, he stepped forward and leaped into the air.

The sky above the ruins was different from before, completely sealed off except for a few skylights, which were covered with glass.

Yoruha broke through one of the skylights and landed on the ground.

Temari followed closely behind, jumping up to the surface. When she reached the ground and saw the towering buildings around her, she was stunned. "Where is this? How did it become so different from before?"

Yoruha smiled, "Didn't I tell you? This is Roran, only it hasn't been destroyed yet."

Despite her reluctance to believe it, Temari had no choice but to accept the reality of her surroundings. "You don't seem surprised," she noted, observing Yoruha's calm demeanor.

He didn't show any concern about being in another time, nor did he seem worried about whether they could return.

Yoruha replied calmly, "What's there to be surprised about? We've just traveled through time, that's all. I actually want to see what Konoha looks like in this era."

Temari expressed her concern, "But won't your actions affect the people of this time? What if it changes things so that you don't exist in the future?"

It was a possibility.

However, Yoruha wasn't planning to cause any major disturbances, and his parents in this timeline were just ordinary ninjas, unlikely to be affected by the butterfly effect.

Still, Temari's point was valid.

Originally, he had considered visiting Konoha, but now he dismissed the idea.

Yoruha said, "Let's forget it and focus on finding Mukade." Temari nodded, feeling uneasy in this unfamiliar time.

She stayed close to Yoruha, worried about the possibility of never returning.

If that happened, she would be stuck in this time, unable to affect her parents here without risking her own existence.

As they wandered through the city of Roran, several puppets flew down from the sky.

These puppets were much larger than the ones Mukade had previously used to attack them.

Upon spotting the two, the five puppets immediately fired lasers at them, skipping any preliminary testing.

Yoruha waved his hand, unleashing a surge of lightning. "Chidori Stream!" Countless golden bolts of lightning enveloped Yoruha and Temari.

The lasers fired by the puppets struck the Chidori Stream, only to be deflected away.

Shocked, Temari exclaimed, "Th-this isn't Uchiha Sasuke's Lightning Style jutsu? How can you use it too?" She continued,

"It seems even more powerful than Sasuke's. Not only is the jutsu's power greater, but you didn't even form any hand seals!"

Yoruha didn't look at Temari. With a wave of his hand, several bolts of lightning shot out, instantly reducing five puppets to ashes. The power was indeed formidable.

After dealing with the five puppets, Yoruha glanced around at the surrounding pipes.

He said, "Mukade should be nearby. Perhaps he arrived in this time period before us and has already harnessed the power of the Ryumyaku."

He continued, "His puppets are much stronger than the ones we encountered before, and he's controlling them through the surrounding pipes.

"We must stay away from these pipes, or he'll know our location no matter where we are." Without giving Temari time to think, Yoruha pulled her into a nearby building.

Leaning against the wall, Yoruha watched the patrolling puppets outside and frowned,

"It seems I was right. That guy really arrived in this time period ahead of us and has already utilized the Ryumyaku's power, allowing him to control so many puppets at once."

"I wonder how powerful he is now," Yoruha mused. "If neither of us can match him, we might end up dying here," he joked.

Temari, taking Yoruha seriously, felt a bit anxious. "If we die in this time period, won't we also die in the other timeline?" Yoruha nodded, "That's probably the case."

"Damn it!" Temari was frustrated but helpless. However, when she looked at Yoruha, she noticed his calm demeanor.

She realized Yoruha must have a plan. "You don't seem worried. Do you have a plan?"

Yoruha chuckled, "What plan could I have? We just need to defeat him, and then we should be able to return to our original timeline."

Temari asked, puzzled, "But didn't you say he's much stronger now?"

Yoruha replied, "I did say that, but just because he's stronger doesn't mean we're not a match for him. We're both Jonin, aren't we?"

Temari felt even more despair. "Can two Jonin really defeat him now?"

"He's controlling dozens of puppets simultaneously, far surpassing Lady Chiyo's capabilities. Plus, with the Ryumyaku's power, he has an immense amount of chakra. Can we really win?"

Seeing Temari's spirits dampened by his words, Yoruha wondered if he had overdone it.

He didn't want to truly make Temari feel hopeless.

So Yoruha reassured her, "Don't worry. Although he's indeed much stronger, he still hasn't shed the limitations of a puppeteer. As long as we find and take out his true body, his puppets won't matter." Temari, initially dejected, regained her spirit.

"So what do we do now? How do we find his true body?" Yoruha looked across the corridor and said calmly, "They should know where he is."

Temari was momentarily stunned and followed Yoruha's gaze. Three masked ninjas suddenly appeared in the empty corridor. These three were none other than Minato and his two teammates.

One was from the Akimichi clan, and the other from the Aburame clan. Both were Jonin. As soon as Minato appeared, he approached Yoruha. "You must be ninjas from Konoha."

Yoruha smiled, "I am, but the one beside me isn't. She's from Sunagakure." Minato was momentarily taken aback when he noticed Temari's forehead protector.

Feeling a bit awkward, he realized he had only focused on Yoruha earlier.

After all, Yoruha's appearance naturally drew attention.
