Chapter 254 - Chapter 254

Temari was well aware of the current situation in Sunagakure. She nodded and said, "Even though I really don't like that guy, given the state of Sunagakure now, I'll ensure his safety no matter how much I dislike him."

Gaara sighed, "There's no other way. If Sunagakure were in a better position, I wouldn't have you undertake such a dangerous mission." Gaara had always respected his sister.

Even before he changed, he had a deep respect for Temari because she had always cared for him since they were young.

Temari reassured him, "Don't worry, I'll ensure my own safety. At worst, the mission will just fail."

Gaara nodded. After finishing his conversation with Temari, he let her leave.

As Temari exited the Kazekage's office, she saw Yoruha leaning casually against the corridor wall, his expression calm and collected, showing no signs of anxiety about the upcoming battle against an elite Jonin and a puppet master.

Seeing Yoruha like this, Temari shook her head but still approached him. "Let's go. I'll ensure your safety on this mission."

Yoruha walked behind Temari, and upon hearing her words, he simply smiled without saying anything.

The two of them left Sunagakure and headed into the desert. As they walked through the desert, neither of them spoke.

Yoruha had nothing to say, and Temari didn't want to engage in conversation with him.

It was just like when they first came to Sunagakure. They traveled through the desert for several days.

Finally, they arrived at the ruins of Roran. The place was filled with crumbling walls and ruins, much of it eroded by the sandstorms, leaving only the foundations of the buildings.

Standing on a piece of the ruins, Temari said, "According to the intel, Mukade's target is this place."

"I'm not sure what he's planning, but it must be related to the Roran ruins." Yoruha sat nearby, glancing at the surrounding ruins. "Building a city like this in the desert is quite fantastical."

Temari was a bit speechless. She was analyzing Mukade's movements, while Yoruha was talking about cities. But she didn't say anything to him, as she was already mentally prepared for Yoruha's nature.

After exploring the Roran ruins for a while, Temari still couldn't find any trace of Mukade, making her doubt the accuracy of the intel.

Just as Temari was heading towards the central structure of the Roran ruins, several puppets suddenly flew out from behind some walls. "Buzz buzz buzz" As soon as the two puppets appeared, they launched dozens of kunai and shuriken at Temari. The attack was swift and unexpected, leaving Temari no time to react.

"Clang clang clang..." The kunai and shuriken were all deflected a meter away from Temari.

She thought she was going to get hit, but when she focused, she saw that the person standing in front of her was none other than Yoruha, whom she had previously looked down upon.

Yoruha was holding a specially crafted kunai given to him by Kakashi. After blocking the puppet's weapon attack, Yoruha charged towards the two puppets.

Temari was startled, worried that Yoruha might get hurt by rushing in without understanding the puppets.

"Be careful, the puppet's weapons might be poisoned." Temari had barely finished speaking when Yoruha had already reached the two puppets. The puppets swung their long-bladed arms towards Yoruha.

In an instant, Yoruha transformed into a streak of golden lightning, appearing behind the two puppets. "Rasengan!" With a Rasengan in each hand, he pressed them against the backs of the puppets.

"Crack!" "Boom!" The terrifying power of the Rasengan shattered the puppets into pieces, leaving two massive craters over ten meters wide in the ground.

All of this happened in a flash. No one had time to react. Even Temari was stunned.

"He... he's so strong." Previously, Temari had thought Yoruha was all show, but now she realized just how powerful he truly was.

Little did she know, what Yoruha had just displayed was merely a game to him.

If Yoruha really wanted to take down Mukade, he wouldn't even need to leave the Hidden Leaf Village. He could simply sense Mukade's location, teleport to him, and eliminate him.

After instantly destroying the two puppets, Temari was left in shock, and Mukade, who was controlling the puppets from the shadows, was equally astonished.

"Damn, who is this guy? How can he be this strong?" "He's not Uchiha Sasuke or Uzumaki Naruto." "Nor is he Hatake Kakashi."

"Has another powerhouse emerged from the Leaf Village?" "His strength must be at the Kage level." Yoruha's actions just now were indeed at a Kage level.

Moreover, he hadn't used any space-time ninjutsu; instead, he used the Lightning Body Flicker Technique, which he hadn't employed in a long time.

Once Temari regained her composure, she rushed to Yoruha's side, wielding her giant fan. "He should be nearby, controlling the puppets requires chakra threads."

Yoruha nodded. "Seems that guy has some skill; those two puppets almost succeeded just now." Temari looked embarrassed.

If Yoruha hadn't intervened, she would have fallen into the trap. Even if she survived, she would likely have been injured.

Just as Yoruha finished speaking, five more puppets flew towards them. As soon as these puppets appeared, they opened their mouths and fired lasers at Yoruha and Temari.

At that moment, Yoruha swiftly formed hand seals. "Earth Release: Earth-Style Wall!" It had been a while since Yoruha formed hand seals, but he did so with incredible speed.

In an instant, four thick earth walls rose around them. "Boom!" The lasers struck the walls, but instead of piercing through, they hit Yoruha's earth walls like eggs against a rock.

The walls remained unshaken, leaving only some black marks. From the beginning, Yoruha had been playing, or rather, performing.

When he used ninjutsu, especially such conventional ones, and even formed hand seals, he was putting on an act.

One had to admit, Yoruha was quite convincing. At least Temari didn't feel that Yoruha's strength was beyond her imagination. In her mind, Yoruha's strength was at the Kage level, but probably not on par with Sasuke.

After all, Sasuke had the Mangekyō Sharingan and could activate Susanoo. The destructive power of Susanoo left Temari utterly awestruck.

Yoruha, on the other hand, was using standard ninjutsu, with Rasengan being the only advanced technique.

After blocking the laser attacks from the five puppets, Yoruha looked up at the puppets surrounding them. He threw a kunai into the air. "Buzz, buzz, buzz." The kunai spun in the air, infused with Yoruha's chakra.

After making a loop in the air, the kunai severed all the chakra threads controlling the five puppets.

Without their power source, the puppets turned into scrap metal and fell from the sky. Watching Yoruha's expressionless combat, Temari, standing beside him, felt a bit ashamed.

"So he was this strong all along, and I thought I could protect him. Who knew I'd end up relying on him to protect me?"
