Chapter 305 - Chapter 305: Devouring the Dragon Crystals — Electrum Crystal, Epic Power-Up!

"Let's see whether it's safer to absorb them directly or consume them. Safety first. Who wants to go first?"

Paul gently pushed two floating orbs toward his Pokémon, popping them open.

"Gaaaar~!"

"Viree~!"

As the crystals fell to the ground, both Garchomp and Electivire immediately felt a strong urge to devour them. But they knew to listen to Paul, one at a time.

Garchomp was eager, but restrained itself out of respect for its trainer and its big brother.

"Viree~."

Electivire patted its junior on the shoulder, offering the first turn to Garchomp.

It wasn't out of fear. After all, it had even swallowed elemental Plates before—these Electrum Crystals looked much less dangerous in comparison. It was simply showing deference as the elder.

"Gaaaar~!"

Thank you, big bro!

With a joyful cry, Garchomp rushed forward and chomped down on a huge mouthful of Dragon Crystals. Pure Dragon energy surged into its body.

"Don't just focus on blindly absorbing the energy. Try to channel your bloodline, activate your Draconic Bloodline Mode. Use this refined power to strengthen your lineage and accelerate your development."

Paul stood beside Torterra, arms crossed, and ready for any needed medical support while calmly guiding Garchomp.

"Gaaaar~"

At his trainer's command, Garchomp slowed its wild devouring activating its bloodline mode. It began using the influx of Dragon energy to reinforce and develop its own innate draconic lineage.

With each bite, Garchomp grew stronger.

Its eyes gleamed with an intimidating red glow scarlet killing intent radiating around its body as its Dragon aura condensed and intensified.

Before long, its power level had already surpassed Electivire's peak output at full strength.

Simply devouring the Dragon Crystals had propelled Garchomp to the front of the team's power rankings.

And yet, this was only the beginning.

After consuming most of the Dragon Crystals, Garchomp's body emitted a white light—it had triggered Mega Evolution! Its ferocious, powerful form reached yet another level of might.

Garchomp could now feel that it no longer needed to build up energy beforehand, it could enter Mega Evolution at will. Even the stamina drain from maintaining its Mega form had dropped significantly.

As time passed, Garchomp fully mastered Rough Skin, transforming it into an active ability. Even in Mega form, it could now reflect damage upon contact.

It was like acquiring an enhanced version of its hidden ability.

Furthermore, its Mega Evolution ability Sand Force had grown even stronger. Garchomp now found it effortless to stir up powerful sandstorms, forming its own sandstorm domain.

Within this domain, any Pokémon besides itself would be battered by the raging sands.

Before long, the entire pile of Dragon Crystals—enough to barely forge a defective Regidrago had been completely consumed by Garchomp. Yet the amplification and absorption process showed no signs of stopping.

Garchomp lowered its stance, stabbing both of its blood-red scythes into the ground, its aura still rising.

At its peak, as blood clouds swirled around it, bursts of green, blue, and multicolored light radiated from its body.

A ferocious draconic phantom slowly took shape behind it, the same terrifying spectral dragon that had previously only manifested when Garchomp unleashed its full power.

But this time, Garchomp hadn't unleashed its full strength. Simply by continuously stimulating its bloodline, using Dragon-type moves in conjunction with Outrage and Swords Dance, the dragon form naturally emerged.

Compared to before, the phantom dragon was now vastly more solid—no longer a simple energy projection, but something that almost seemed alive.

Or rather, the dragon was now completely fused with Garchomp, under its full control.

This was no longer merely a manifestation of unleashed energy, it had become an entirely new ability.

And with the assistance of the Dragon Crystals, Garchomp had fully mastered it.

As power surged and was spent, Torterra quietly activated Forest's Healing, releasing waves of life energy to replenish Garchomp's stamina.

"Gaaaar~"

Time slowly passed. Half an hour later as Garchomp let out a low growl, the radiance surrounding it gradually receded.

Though the energy from the Dragon Crystals hadn't been completely depleted, the remaining power continued refining and strengthening Garchomp, steadily raising its level.

Most of the energy had been channeled into bloodline development rather than leveling up instantly to Champion-class. But this developmental breakthrough meant Garchomp now had no bottlenecks on its growth path.

The road to surpassing Champion level even entering Master-class, had been fully unlocked. All that remained was time.

"Gaaaar~"

The white light faded as Garchomp exited Mega Evolution. After exchanging a glance of encouragement with Electivire, it waddled to a corner, wobbling a bit as it sat down.

Though Torterra had replenished its stamina, the intense mental strain had left Garchomp dizzy and disoriented from the prolonged bloodline awakening process.

It sat there in a daze, completely spaced out.

"Electivire, your turn."

Paul's gaze shifted to Electivire without further words.

Garchomp's recent growth had been terrifying, but Electivire, while lacking the same complex bloodline traits and awakening methods, had its own advantages.

With its previous experience devouring two elemental Plates, consuming the Electrum Crystals should grant it power and levels nearly on par with Garchomp.

"Viree~!"

Watching Garchomp's transformation for so long had left Electivire itching with jealousy. It could barely wait.

The moment Paul gave the signal, Electivire immediately tossed a fistful of Electrum Crystals into its mouth.

Unlike Garchomp, Electivire didn't need to manage any bloodline awakenings. Its devouring speed was ferocious, cramming handful after handful down its throat.

In no time, most of the Electrum Crystals were already inside its stomach. Electivire paused briefly, balancing its internal energy and digesting the energy from the Plates while absorbing the crystals.

After a few rounds of absorption and consumption, it polished off the entire pile within ten minutes.

"Viree~"

Satisfied, Electivire rubbed its belly, sitting down to fully absorb the Electrum Crystal energy.

Electivire never had any particularly mysterious training methods except for its bizarre ability to swallow elemental Plates.

The odd part wasn't just that it could eat them, but that it survived and fully absorbed their powers.

Other than continuously amplifying its electrical reserves, what other changes the Plate energy brought was something neither Electivire nor Paul fully understood.

Without the Plate's influence, eating the Electrum Crystals alone would likely have just leveled it up like Rare Candies in the games.

But thanks to the Plates, something entirely different happened.

Golden light burst uncontrollably from Electivire's body, arcs of lightning crackling wildly from its form.

If one looked carefully, the radiance seemed to originate from its stomach.

The fusion of Electrum Crystals and the Zap Plate triggered a mysterious reaction. Moreover, unlike ordinary Pokémon, Electivire had evolved via an Electirizer, which had permanently fused into its body post-evolution.

Now, these three fused or unfused—energies activated simultaneously, overloading Electivire.

Wild arcs of electricity poured from its body, wracking it with intense pain.

Even as an Electric-type Pokémon with Motor Drive as its Ability, Electivire's capacity for containing electricity was not infinite.

In the past, aided by the Zap Plate, Electivire's capacity had seemed nearly limitless. But now it was different.

The Electrum Crystals released energy; the Zap Plate halted, merging with the Crystals; the Electirizer also weighed in—all of it sharply reduced Electivire's ability to store electricity.

"Hang in there! Focus on absorbing the energy and quickly integrate it into your body. Use Psych Up and Bulk Up to assist!"

Paul's expression turned grim. He tapped Torterra's shell.

"Raaaa~"

Torterra responded, channeling waves of life energy toward Electivire in an attempt to help.

But before the energy could reach it, the rampant lightning incinerated the healing energy instantly—it was completely ineffective.

After all, every type of energy has its purity and quality.

While Torterra's life energy was of high grade, compared to the primal power inside the Zap Plate and Electrum Crystals, it was simply not on the same level.

Thus, this life energy was completely ineffective!

"…This is bad…"

Paul's expression grew tense, his fists clenching unconsciously. Torterra's healing had always served as a safety net whenever he undertook any dangerous action.

Now that this safety net had failed, even Paul found it difficult to remain calm.

"Mew, I'm counting on you…"

Watching Electivire writhing in pain, Paul could only turn to Mew for help.

Compared to Torterra, here at the Tree of Beginning—the origin of the world, Mew was the true guarantee.

"Mew~"

Mew, who had been quietly observing from the side for some time, snapped back to attention at Paul's call. Lifting its small hands, it used Heal Pulse in an attempt to treat Electivire.

However, just like Torterra's Forest's Healing, the healing waves were instantly neutralized by the surrounding lightning before they could even touch Electivire.

"Mew~"

Seeing this, Mew furrowed its small delicate face, its little head spinning rapidly as it tried to think.

Heal Pulse was its most proficient healing move. While it could also use moves like Soft-Boiled and Life Dew, none of them were more effective than Heal Pulse in this situation.

If it transformed into Pokémon like Celebi or Jirachi, it could channel life energy but even then, the effect wouldn't surpass Torterra's healing.

If it were to transform into Victini and boost Electivire's power, it might instantly flood Electivire's body with overwhelming energy, potentially causing it to overload.

Time was running out, and Mew couldn't immediately come up with a proper solution.

"Ho-Oh's resurrection power… Xerneas' life force… Dialga's time energy… could those work?"

Paul's mind raced even faster, quickly considering several powers that might assist Electivire.

Ho-Oh's resurrection ability would serve as a last resort. Dialga's temporal powers could speed up the fusion process, while Xerneas' potent life force might be able to heal Electivire and ease its suffering.

In addition to these, Paul also possessed one more highly unique ability—Aura Transfer.

A truly "god-tier" technique, Aura Transfer allowed the user to transfer their own aura into another being for healing, amplification, or enhancement. However, performing this came at a nearly irreversible cost to the user's body, potentially even fatal.

"Mew~"

Receiving Paul's guidance, Mew's body immediately began to shift. In the blink of an eye, it transformed into Xerneas, with its majestic multicolored antlers gleaming brightly, and began channeling vast amounts of life energy into Electivire.

In an instant, Electivire's collapsing body stabilized.

Next, Mew transformed into Dialga, using its mysterious time powers to accelerate the fusion of the items within Electivire's body.

Mew kept alternating between Xerneas and Dialga forms, expending a great deal of stamina. Finally, Electivire's condition stabilized completely.

"Viree~!"

Opening its eyes now crackling faintly with electricity, Electivire retracted its discharging current and slowly stood up from the ground, clenching its fists as it felt the surging energy within.

At first glance, Electivire's appearance hadn't changed much. Its level had increased, though not as dramatically as Garchomp's.

Its magnetic manipulation, acceleration, and electrical capabilities had all improved considerably, but again, not to the overwhelming degree Garchomp had advanced.

On the surface, it seemed that the integration of the Electrum Crystal, Plate, and Power Booster into Electivire's body hadn't produced any earth-shattering transformation.

But in reality, Electivire's gains were no less significant than Garchomp's, particularly in terms of its abilities which had received an epic-level enhancement—

Transistor: Increases the power of Electric-type moves (by 50%). This ability has been fully fused and locked, it cannot be swapped.

Motor Drive: When hit by Electric-type moves, Electivire takes no damage; instead, its Speed was raised. This ability has also been fully fused and locked, it cannot be swapped.

That's right, Electivire had now become a true dual-ability Pokémon.

The Transistor ability originally belonged exclusively to Regieleki. Thanks to the perfect fusion of the Electrum Crystal and the Plate into Electivire's body, this ability was inherited as well.

Meanwhile, Motor Drive and Transistor both received amplification from the fusion of the Zap Plate and Electrum Crystal.

The enhancement was simple but profound: they could no longer be swapped.

While this might seem insignificant at first glance, it actually meant a great deal.

Garchomp's advancement was primarily in raw power and abilities, while Electivire's was a fundamental evolution gaining an entirely new top-tier ability.

Additionally, Electivire had another minor benefit: now that the Plate had been fully absorbed, it could once again carry held items.
