Melissa had been standing outside the Delights Club room for several minutes.
She kept telling herself she was only curious.
That was all.
There had been too much talk about the place since the club had been formed. A pastry club had never been particularly interesting to the academy before. Yet somehow, this one had attracted students from several powerful households.
Even the Third Holy Princess had joined.
Melissa folded her arms and looked through the glass window.
The room was surprisingly neat.
There were shelves filled with ingredients, small boxes with labels, mixing bowls arranged by size, and several pieces of equipment she had never seen used in an academy cooking room before. The tables were clean, and the decorations were simple. Someone had clearly put effort into making the room pleasant.
She leaned closer.
There was a strange little oven built into the wall.
Melissa stared at it.
What is that?
She moved slightly to get a better look.
