The girls smiled at this as Alice questioned. ''Is Jasper and my sister here?''
Victoria shook her head. ''Unfortunely, no, they were called south to deal with some desert raiders attacking the Vampires,'' she revealed.
Dominique's expression changed, and Raegar noticed it. He grabbed her soft hand in reassurance, making the young woman smile as Alice finally responded. ''That's not good, have the attacks been bad?''
''Only in a few towns and villages, but they're being protected by the Imperial Army that left a few days ago,'' Victoria answered. ''Jasper and the girls are guarding one on the border, if I remember correctly.''
