Logan's POV
The elf woman leads us down one of the many long, pristine, winding roads, her steps light and almost bouncing, as though she's walking to music only she can hear.
Dad and I follow behind her, and we don't say a word. Not to her. Not to each other. He's walking further apart from me than he has this entire journey, his hand brushing the fur at Kato's neck, his gaze forward, fixed. I'm at Fenrir's side, staring hard at the woman's back, my fingers itching against the hilt of my sword.
She looks harmless. I know the Dwarves mentioned that but seeing it in person unsettles me.
