"Oh, your highness, here is the letter you asked me to get for you," a maid stopped in front of Evah in the hall.
"Oh, why thank you, you are such a darling," Evah smiled at her.
"It is simply my duty, your highness," the maid smiled sheepishly. It was an honour to run an errand for Princess Evah, she was the sweetest, the nicest and the most humble guest in the entire castle.
Whenever she was around, most of the servants were vying amongst themselves to serve her. They found themselves wondering why Ian had not married her instead of Lady Angelica.
There was no doubt that if she was Ian's wife, the castle would be full of life, joy and laughter.
"And you do your duty well, thank you," Evah beamed.
"Evah, there you are!".
The lovely smile on Evah's face disappeared and was replaced with such a nasty scowl that the maid who was in front of her was shocked by the sudden change in her demeanour.
