Lillian proceeded to remain trapped within the basement for countless hours. But fortunately, Marionette continued to stay true to her words - visiting her once every hour.
Sometimes she would stay for as long as half an hour or as little as a dozen minutes.
Watching as Marionette left the basement again, Lillian grumbled - deeply agitated. She moved against the chains binding her to the chair, trying to free herself as she shouted in her mind:
'I hate this chair!'
Lillian wanted nothing more than to snap the chains. But she knew the moment she did, Marionette would find out.
The Rabbit sighed deeply, then went into thought.
Although being chained to a chair was quite a predicament, there was another - much bigger - predicament.
'Marionette's veins are no longer black.'
Unlike before, when the darkness in Marionette's veins was visibly seen crawling up her neck, it was no longer there - disappearing without a trace; as if, it hadn't ever occurred...
