With that, Grey began his arduous journey to explore the towering volcano positioned a few meters away from him.
It was an ordeal far from easy; as soon as he departed from the cooling foot of the lava and traversed about five steps forward, a heavy, suffocating pressure descended upon him.
He suddenly found himself unable to move forward, his limbs turning to lead.
"Shit! The heat…" Grey sucked in a sharp breath, only to choke as the blistering atmosphere seared down his throat.
It felt as though he had inhaled liquid fire itself.
The ground beneath his feet was nearly unbearable, radiating a thermal intensity strong enough to make his soles ache with every agonizing stride.
His muscles screamed in protest, his body becoming sluggish as if he were wading through thick, molten tar.
Even the stagnant air around him felt heavy, pressing down on his shoulders like a living, malevolent force.
