The space spirit answered instantly.
"Yes?"
"Are you asking me or telling me?"
"Telling you?"
"Space spirit!!!"
"Yes, I'm telling you!"
"Okay, then if we can go out, what about others, can they come out with us?"
"No, they are here under the influence of this independent space now. You haven't been much under its influence so I can take you out."
That was a bummer.
"Then what about Sawyer?"
"If you take him to your space, we can leave."
"Can I not put my parents too?"
"Their presence will make your presence visible to the independent space here. Then it will block you too. I'm sure it will put up a huge resistance even without knowing about you when we try to leave."
Jamie felt sadder than before. How could she be willing to leave her family now that they were all finally united? It was so difficult for her to just try and imagine.
