Chapter Seventy Three : The Mountain Stood Still
Jo Yanran, as the woman in question, was not permitted to appear until the elders finalized the matter. But when she heard that the Lan family had already arrived to propose—and that Lan Jiaxin and Fang Yan had agreed to a duel—she couldn't sit still any longer. She rushed toward the martial arena.
"Miss, slow down! Wait for me!"
Her maid chased behind, unable to keep up.
By the time they arrived, Fang Yan and Lan Jiaxin were already standing atop the platform. The arena was surrounded by a crowd, and the two of them blended in quietly.
"Don't worry, Miss," her maid whispered. "The young master is very strong. He'll win, for sure."
But Jo Yanran's eyes showed concern.
"Lan Jiaxin is late-stage Naling Realm. Brother Yan is only mid-stage. The gap is huge."
"Ah?!" the maid gasped.
Thankfully, no one nearby noticed.
