Chapter 340 - The first brawl(2)

"Welcome" Crisis said, beginning her speech that signified the beginning of the brawl barely disguising itself as a tournament in the eyes of those that had never been there, a weak scribe he had already spotted collapsing under the weight of her voice that lost a lot of power shortly after.

"Welcome to the 120th tournament of the golden city, the fortieth anniversary, quite the special date, a beginning hidden within the fourth era, a tradition that began first to prepare ourselves with a yearly clash, a war, to prepare for how they would fight against us when we were to finally get free." she took a small pause, her voice having grown much weaker in pure presence, something that many had already noticed as she always sent out a wave of power when first opening her mouth to speak.

"We have made many precautions, all those that are defeated, whether dead or alive, will be saved by that golem made by our new helper, saint Lawrence and his new assistant Avere, those that have bought immortal blades can do a bit more than knocking unconscious." she paused, her intent clearly lingering on Leyk despite him not being able to see her.

"The lesser version of the blades, simple metal imbued with the intent of healing, or even worse, made with average healing spells that would only work if left in the wound for some time which would just turn it for the worse will be allowed to stab, the magma will instantly cauterize the wound, so while it will be painful, the wounded will survive." she began, the people in the stands, mostly titans, a few transcribes that had been smart enough to avoid this clash, a few scribes too cowardly to fight, a few simply manufacturers, about two thousand in total, double the number of those int he colosseum, but sprinkled with even a few many he could not begin to understand seemed bored, perhaps having heard this many times before.

"Those that have a mid-grade immortal blade made by a titan at the very least, preferably one specialized in healing and artificing, the same blades previously sold in the official centre of this brawl, bought from the city of progress previously, are allowed to stab and slice at least a bit, even to slash arteries since the wounds would still heal quickly enough, just do not cut things off, and remember, the exhaustion still costs the bearer of the wounds dearly."

"The high-grade immortal blades gifted to some scribes seen as talented as a kind of investment by both formless and forsaken lords, ones used in the clash of forsaken lords as well, are allowed to cut off entire limbs, even cut people in half because they would survive, the blades created by the city of the dead themselves, temporarily turning them into a special kind of undead." she paused.

"Remember not to imbue holy magic or divine aura on the blade if you have such powers or such a specialization." she paused once more.

"Normally this would be it." he could almost see the grin that was most likely playing atop her face right now, " but this time there is a certain someone" she meant Leyk, no doubt about it, " who has an absolute immortal blade blessed by not one but two greater pillar-grade beings." she paused, the people looking around confused, the participants slightly nervous, Leyk already holding the blade in hand, the form of a mere dagger, opting to let it vanish once more, it dispersing into nothingness as he concentrated a bit more, grabbing the wand she had asked him to practice with for now.

"They are able to cut off even heads and you'll be alive, to mince you into pieces and you will survive, by the pillar of stagnation, I asked, your soul will stay in what is left of your body, no magic to change that aside from killing yourself or the bearer of the attack, so there are nor restrictions based on you." she paused once more, taking a breath from her long speech.

"However, I do still ask that you restrain the usage of the blade since it woul dbe difficult to piece them all together." she made a dramatic break, seemingly intending for a joke that was destined to make most people watching and participating quiver.

"One might end up with the wrong body." she said, a murmuring taking hold of the many people watching and standing, still around twelve foot apart, most surrounding those hurriedly standing with their backs to each other at the middle Leyk knew to be easily defeated soon enough.

"As always the titans will join when there are only around a hundred people left, the weakest ten titans we could find with manifestations related to battle, ones that need training but are not powerful enough to gain it outside as most of you already know." she smiled once more, or at least the Crisis that currently stood inside Leyk's mind as a kind of illusion smiled.

"All kinds of magic are allowed, including demonic magic, banishment hexes if you are to somehow get them to work in this place for a long time, torture spells, spells that manipulate the passing if you are ready to face the consequences." she added on a tad later.

"Now, without further ado, with me surely having bored all of you." a overbearingly loud bell was heard, one that had undoubtably been made of the purest gold she was able to call forth and control, "let the brawl begin, the victor shall be decided soon enough." she ended it all, slumping down on her golden throne that now stood outside the palace from what he knew, having seen it there yesterday already.

A bit of useless work considering she could just summon it from nowhere, but perhaps there was more to the throne than first met the eye he silently said as those around him all ran forward, wearing armour of steal, cloaks of dark, wearing leaves on the hair with brown skin and red streaks, dryads as he had previously been told, ones that forsook human appearance, charring their own body with a special poison, and the first ones who tried to attack him as 'he' sensed an attack coming from behind.
