All together the hunting of the Karoj took about one hour, most of it having been spent on finding the creatures, the first ones having been quite lucky, with him finally having made his way backwards to the great copper tower that still stretched towards a source of light that was not there, towards the skies that this island had been ripped away from, entering the chamber at it's lowest, praying no other person would enter it, seeing a small head-shaped dent on one of the sides that had not been there before, finally feeling the ground under him vanish as he grasped 'his' bag tightly once more.
Once more he felt intent that was formless and more random than anything one could think of, once more he felt the colour under his feet change, he felt his eyes bombarded with things he should never have seen, colour that had not existed for human eyes ever before aside from the realm between wherever he was, a realm he had once given everything to enter in an attempt to save himself, a realm that her left after a few more seconds, rushing to get out of the chamber, be it that coming to another city through it was much rarer, having to wield a special imprint, a coin, talar, in the case of the golden city and most others.
He started walking towards the bazar, a trusty merchant he had come to know for a few months now residing there that was willing to but all the ones he had gotten for 45 each, a good price since it only took him a single hour and the average hourly gaining for a scribe was 45 talar, thinking of the tournament.
According to lady Crisis the tournament was one that took place every half year, the reward given by the city of players, supposedly consisting of people with weird weapons, skills and 'computer'-like abilities, offering something special related to the systems as a reward.
Participating were scribes and transcribes at the beginning, be it that most transcribes would most likely fall out during the preliminary in which Lawrence was supposed to be the examiner, having previously told around that he would sue golems, having them fight against them, Avere supposedly having helped him in the design and creation, his training, being one of those who might one day be able to create entire golem-armies from what he had heard.
Lower titans would enter during the finale, Leyk's greatest worry, but even if he did lose against them he would still get the price for the scribes, so that was not the biggest danger, and he was relatively confident he should be able to face most of the titans he had seen fighting, aside from a few which were already beyond lower rank and as such were not able to participate.
Finally he entered the bazar, many vendors, for the most parts automatons and false people, machines bought and often programmed by the owners of the stalls standing in, but he was not interested in them, they would not buy anything he had to sell and the few other people walking around here, a few dozen, about seven of them being titans and one of them powerful enough to hide his rank, wearing a feathered cloak with a belt that was above the hood, spikes placed around it that looked similarly to a tree, brown pieces of flesh coming out from under the cloak, rigid and thick, as if made out of tree.
Probably a formless was what Leyk quickly noted in his head, thinking he had most likely come to watch the competition, many stronger ones had nothing to do and came to watch such things, they wanted to both invest in someone that might become a lord one day, however unlikely that might seem, and see battles being fought hard they knew they could easily defeat.
He sold the stones to Kirs, a middle-aged male of the peak titan rank, wielding a power supposedly related to wealth and amassing it, perhaps similar to the way Crisis was able to handle gold and flame, or perhaps something entirely different, after all, it wasn't like manifestations had to be related to elements, there were also ones such as controlling people like marionettes, ones such as being simply sped up, perceiving the future faster than any others, and many many more.
Nevertheless, Kirs wore a warm smile that contrasted his face with a thick but scrubby full beard, about an inch thick at the longest with rather thick hair that stood on end, his entire face scattered with various tiny scars spanning not even half an inch at their longest.
He was indeed a rather nice man but his appearance, ignoring the size as he was seated upon a stool made of wood with a golden pillow that was obviously not made out of gold, was rather intimidating with a powerful presence befitting of his rank.
Leyk received 4 talars, silver coins that had faces on one side and a eye with a removed jewel on the other, the form made their together with the magic imprint determining the worth, guaranteed by the lords and ladies.
There was a hundred coin with the eye marked by an X, there was a fifty coin with the eye marked by a triangle, there was a twenty coin with the eye marked by a hexagon, there was a ten coin with the eye marked by a single line that went from one end of the eye to the other.
"You going to sell the enhancement stones too?" asked the middle-aged man, a rough voice resounding as he watched that which seemed to be a tiny woman but was rather powerful from what he had been able to tell from all of the things that had been brought to him.
"Never going to happen." said Leyk, a smile dancing atop 'her' face, forgetting where he was for a moment at the question the merchant had been repeating for over two months now, after having bought his first one from him very early on and assuming he had some kind of lucky ability.
"You gonna use any of the active stones you find?" the man laughingly replied shortly after, the body moving heavily as he leaned forward to pick up the stones from the lower sitting plank of browning wood supported by two sacks filled with knick-knack that had been laid to the sides of it.
