During dinner, Haruno appeared right on time at Ichin's dining table, her face full of happiness.
"Waking up and immediately having food to eat—this life is amazing!"
Ichin placed a bowl of freshly served rice in front of her and said helplessly, "You can only be lazy for these two days. If Yukino sleeps in the day after tomorrow, Haruno-nee, you probably won't even bother making your own breakfast."
"Hehe, don't expose me like that!" Haruno picked up her chopsticks, smiling. "Work is sooo exhausting, isn't it? Isn't it totally normal for Yukino to take care of me?"
But just as she finished, Yukino—sitting across from her—spoke slowly.
"No, Sis, you're already an adult. It's time you learned to take care of yourself."
She took a sip of pork rib soup and continued, "I think we should bring this up to Mother during New Year's. Ask her to properly train your household skills. Otherwise, when you get married in the future, relying on housekeepers won't work."
"Ehhh~~ why not!?"
Haruno already had her cheeks stuffed with food, puffed as a squirrel, and protested, "It's not like our family has no money. Why can't I hire housekeeping? Besides, I never said I'm getting married in the next two years. Being single is so much more fun!"
"That's not up to you, Sis."
Yukino's lips curved with a faint smile. "Take a guess. When we go home for New Year's in a few days, will Mother bring up arranging blind dates for you?"
"…"
Haruno instantly went silent. She knew her mother too well—that was absolutely something she'd do.
Quietly pulling her phone out of her pocket, Haruno muttered, "What do you two think? If I book a flight to stay with my godmother right now… can I escape this disaster?"
Ichin chuckled. "No chance. I am one hundred percent sure my mom and your mom keep in touch. If you run first, my mom will receive the news immediately and start arranging things on that side. Haruno-nee, you're not escaping."
"I'm doomed…"
Looking utterly depressed, Haruno finally chose the only path left—turn sorrow into appetite and attack the food like a machine.
"I don't care anymore. I'll eat more! If I get fat, no one will want me!"
Seeing her sister like this, Yukino could only shake her head repeatedly.
Someone seems to have forgotten one important fact—Haruno literally can't get fat.
When it comes to desserts, Haruno eats way more than Yukino, and the siblings get about the same amount of exercise.
After dinner, feeling overstuffed, Haruno took two digestive tablets for herself, then immediately prepared for tonight's Mahjong war. When she came earlier, she heard Yagami Kō say they'd be fighting to the death for eight hundred rounds tonight.
So Haruno, Yukino, Kō, and Rin began first. After half an hour, whoever lost the most would be swapped out for Utaha.
As for Ichin, of course he wasn't joining—he already lost enough last night.
Returning to his room, he turned on his computer to start a short stream.
Barely a few minutes after going live, plenty of people browsing Bilibili at this hour noticed that Ichin was streaming and rushed in immediately.
He's streaming today?
Why wasn't there an announcement?
Seeing the barrage, Ichin laughed. "Just a sudden thought. Anyway, for today, I'll play some Dark Souls first—do some online PvP with viewers. And after that, Apex—team up with viewers."
The moment he said this, the chat exploded with excitement.
Most of the followers on this account were gamers, and a large portion had played Dark Souls before. As for Apex, that went without saying—it's a free game, easy to download and try.
Holy crap, we get to beat up the producer himself!?
Log in! Log in!
Seeing all these excited maniacs in the chat, Ichin shook his head helplessly. He logged into Steam, opened Dark Souls, and began waiting for invaders.
It didn't take long before the first invader arrived—a player wielding a Black Knight Greatsword and wearing the full Black Knight armor set. One look and you knew he came with bad intentions.
"Oh-ho? Trying to cosplay a Black Knight?"
Ichin grinned widely, then slowly swapped to his own weapon—the Middle Finger Chicken Drumstick.
The hell!? Never seen that weapon!
Such attitude! It's literally flipping the bird!
Has anyone ever found this thing? New weapon!?
Seeing the barrage, Ichin said, "This weapon has always existed. It's just really well-hidden. Players simply haven't found it yet. And besides this one, there are still plenty of weapons and armor you guys haven't discovered. So hurry up and go look for hidden items!"
Just as he finished speaking, the viewer in front of him seemed stunned by the weapon too. After staring for a moment, he disgustingly threw two poison knives. Luckily, Ichin reacted quickly and rolled away.
"Alright, let's begin."
What happened next was obvious. Ichin knew every weapon and piece of gear inside and out, and he had used the Black Knight Greatsword for quite a while in the past.
After dodging one of the opponent's attacks with ease, Ichin used the Chicken Drumstick's weapon art—flicking the enemy away with a giant forehead-flick.
Damn!! He went flying!
He flew SO FAR.
I really can't wait to find that weapon!!
Despite the invader's desperate struggle afterward, Ichin—after losing only half his HP—finished him off with ease.
"Alright, next~~~"
He had to admit—fighting viewers was fun.
In the following PvP matches, he mainly used the chicken drumstick, though he occasionally switched to other weapons for variety. But he didn't bring out any of the other undiscovered hidden weapons.
He kept playing until nine o'clock, fighting around a dozen viewers. He won more than he lost, and the stream saw plenty of different build styles on display.
Stretching lazily, Ichin said with a laugh, "Okay, one last match, then we'll switch to Apex."
Just as he was about to change gear, the bedroom door opened. Yukino walked in holding a plate of sliced fruit.
Ichin turned around, surprised. "You got eliminated?"
Yukino set the fruit on his desk and nodded. "Mm. Sis and Kō-nee are going crazy over it. My luck wasn't very good today—never got a good hand. I held on for an hour but still lost, so I switched out for Utaha. You're streaming?"
"Yeah. While you guys play Mahjong, I'm just gaming with viewers. Want to watch together?"
Yukino smiled and shook her head. "I'll pass. I'm going to read for a bit. And I still have a mountain of cats to take care of."
After dinner, Yukino had brought her four cats over too. With seven cats in the house, things were lively to say the least.
After Yukino left, Ichin glanced at the chat and said, exasperated, "Alright, the last invader is here—let's go!"
