I had started to look for a place to rent to soweto since it's close to where my work place is and so as I was looking for a place many of the places were occupied and I slept in the streets and then I had went ahead and would go to church where my mom used to go to and since I felt like the church had grace I figured that it's perfect for me and not the new one mom chose it's like she abandoned this church but why would I be shocked since she abandoned me and my brother so why wouldn't she do the same thing since it's her habit.
So I went to that church and same day I met with a married couple and they said " hi James we heard you're looking for a place to stay and you can stay with us there's an extra room at our place" they said gently
" really mama and sir I'm really grateful but l wanna be near my school but if I don't get any other place I'll get back to you" I said then left them. And then on the job I found after a week they had fired me because someone framed me and so I had to get back to Zim and forget about my dreams. And I was on the streets waiting for a taxi holding my bags that couple from church saw me waiting and they stopped and asked me where I'm going. I told them the situation and they said I should stay with them till I get a job they won't make me pay rent so I agreed and went with them to their house and boy it was lovely.
And the husband was very much welcoming and even the wife also but yet I didn't know that even though they are welcoming it was all just an act for a short period of time. But I enjoyed being accommodated by them making me feel at home and also making me feel like I finally had a home that I never had in my childhood and so I started convincing myself that they are my parents even though they aren't my biological ones but I considered them family and became attached to them. And so they suggested me some places to apply to for a job and yet even though I'd go to those places things didn't go as planed since I would get regejected over and over again and at first they'd comfort me but then the wife started shouting at me calling me useless and a street kid that's when I saw and knew that things were tough and that I'd need to get a job as soon as possible and that's what a decided to do I would wake up early in the morning and make sure that I get to places early just to get a job as a teacher maybe for science or chemistry depending on the position available.
And then on my journey out I saw a women that I usually see at church her name is busi and she is very attractive and I really like her a lot and so I greeted her and asked to have her number and she gave me and I texted her immediately. And on that same day I got a job not far from where I live and then I went back and gave them the important news and honestly speaking she was very much happy and started hugging me and asked her husband to buy alcohol so that we can celebrate for my new job so he did and we drank brandy and savanna and we enjoyed and for the first time I was soo happy that I'll be sleeping in peace and I won't be shouted at anymore and she even gave the news to my mom and I was soo irritated and she even came to the house but I chased her out claiming she just wanted to ruin out happy day and she left in tears and deep inside I felt bad at the same time whatever she did to me and my brother came back and I told myself that she deserves it. She went back home and inform my brother about the good news and I told my brother to come and stay with us so that he can experience the luck that I was experiencing. And the moment he joined us that's when everything got ruined.
