She could only nestle in this camp that was filled with people but as quiet as a graveyard, shivering uncontrollably. There was not a single sound from the dense forest, unlike when she lived in the village, where she could hear the frogs and cicadas chirping all night during the summer. She wondered, why hadn't the chief and the others noticed such an obvious sign?
After a little while, the Fog Demon came out, or rather, floated out. Ali didn't know if she was seeing things, but she felt that the creature's form was a bit more solid than just now.
The Fog Demon then dragged another person into the hut.
Then a third person, a fourth person, a fifth... Each time it came out of the hut, its form became more solid.
