The two continued their upward ascent, and after stepping on a certain level of stairs, Ewaqu suddenly stopped. Just as Ronan was puzzled, he saw flames erupting one after another on either side of them, with bursts of light illuminating everything around in an instant.
It was then that Ronan discovered they were standing at the edge of a massive sacrificial square. This square was so large that it seemed endless to him, surrounded by black stone pillars similar to those at the starting point, and within the square stood countless black stone statues!
These stone statues resembled, in style, the faceless stone men that guided them into the Spirit Space, with images of almost every kind—humans, elves, barbarians, dwarves... magic beasts, birds, and even plants...
Ronan saw many lost races he previously only read about in ancient books.
