"Mom, what are you looking at?"
Shan Wenbo squatted beside Liu Yuqin's feet, curiously looking at the creek in front of them.
The creek wasn't deep, with lush water grass, vibrant and green, like a patch of low shrubbery, which had become the habitat of the red-crowned crane.
Some cranes stood quietly in the water, while others spread their wings and took flight...
Liu Yuqin watched this scene quietly, lost in thought.
"I wish I were a bird."
That's what Liu Yuqin said to Shan Lihui.
Shan Lihui, naturally understanding her meaning, was a straightforward man, not really good at comforting others.
So he said directly, "Even if you don't have wings, you have me. As long as I'm alive, wherever you want to go, I'll take you there."
Liu Yuqin grinned at his words.
"Mom, why are you smiling? You haven't answered my question yet."
Shan Wenbo's words brought Liu Yuqin back to her senses.
She looked down at her son and smiled, asking, "Do you remember your father bringing us here?"
