At this moment, the assassin held his sword and got entangled with the Qilin. After a round of fighting, in less than ten exchanges, it became apparent there was a problem.
This person's skills were not up to par.
It wasn't that Tie Dan was being picky, but truly, from the standards of the Mystic Sect, it was completely unqualified. Probably all his energy was spent on Alchemy and cooking. His swordsmanship was certainly not up to a hundred years of practice. His routine sword techniques were full of weaknesses, like being out of sync with the Qilin man's movement technique, only hitting empty spaces, essentially just fancy but impractical moves. Even with a treasure sword, he was by no means a match.
Sure enough, in less than ten exchanges, the assassin's Emperor Sword was snatched away empty-handed! He even got two swift counterattacks, losing his head and feet, becoming a human stick!
