This is the greed of humanity, this is the original sin of humanity, this is the heart demon of humanity.
Of course, you could put it nicely and say this is human evolution, that this is human completion, the destiny of all life pursuing the ultimate heat death.
But what you call it doesn't matter. The key issue is that humans have limits, and humans will die.
Whether acknowledged or not, humans are just members of the natural world, not some immortal deities that transcend everything.
And the evolution of life is an extremely long process. The journey from monkeys to humans, constrained by the gene pool, limited by lifespan metabolism, climate change, natural selection, sporadic incidents, mutation catastrophes, extinction, and various interferences and limitations, has consumed a full sixty million years.
