Pei Xiaoman is working hard to help her father.
Winter mornings are very cold, as everyone knows. Pei Xiaoman is vigorously kneading the dough; she poured hot water on it at first, but it cooled down quickly, making her frostbitten hands somewhat numb.
But that's good, frostbite doesn't itch when it's cold, it's terrible when it itches once it's warm.
Pei Xiaoman wears a thin down jacket, tied with an apron, and she keeps herself busy.
At the shop entrance, there are several large steamers, slowly emitting steam. Pei Mingyuan is guarding them but doesn't really move.
There's hardly anyone in the shop, Pei Mingyuan inadvertently glances at the street opposite, where another breakfast shop stands, bustling with people.
"Dad!"
A gentle voice softly sounded beside him.
Pei Mingyuan quickly came back to his senses and said with a smile: "Sorry, sorry, I was distracted, what's up?"
