Chapter 96 - Let's Go Dungeon Diving! - Chapter 2

"This is…the correct room, right…?" Dante said as he knocked on the door once more. He heard no movement in the room whatsoever as he scratched his head in confusion. He didn't know if he ended up mixing her room up with someone else's. He began to peer around and considered giving up, turning back quickly until his momentum was interrupted by a smaller presence bumping into him, causing them to fall backwards. Small items fell out of what seemed to be their bag. Small jewels and coins were scattered along the carpeted hall in front of the door.

"Huh–oh, I'm sorry!" he said quickly as he began to pick up the items off the ground. He moved with a speed that didn't allow the person to react to the predicament at hand before two handfuls of the dropped items were placed in front of them.

"I didn't mean to bump into ya', I just…uh…"

"No, it's fine really."

His ears perked at the tone of her voice; it was raspy, yet clear and low. As he took a further inspection of who he'd bumped into, he noticed some standout features. From their long and wavy navy blue hair to their piercing pink eyes, he gulped at the sight of such a person. He looked her over some more, noticing her elven ears and what seemed to be a halo of sorts above her head. He was stunned that such a thing could exist. She had a more petite figure, and he realized he felt he towered over her in the moment as well.

"I've seen elves before, but never one that had those above their head…" he thought to himself as she took the belongings she dropped from his hands and back into the bag she held. Dante held out his hand to help her off the ground, which she took graciously.

"Thank you."

"N-no problem, sorry for bumping you, I was–"

"Looking for someone?"

"Y-yeah."

"I see. If you're looking for Farren, she's a few doors down that way. This is my room you're standing in front of."

"Oh, my bad."
