"That's it. I got angry because of what he said and failed to remain calm," Lina finished telling what happened in the fight. Her eyes displayed shame for several reasons.
She didn't want to admit it to Davi, but she got both angry and afraid when Drako told her that Davi didn't care for her. He was an important friend, and someone she secretly had feelings for.
"Don't look down," Davi said with a firm tone. "You did great. I was impressed with how much you were able to endure."
"Thank you…" she said shyly.
Davi clenched his fists. He could see in Lina's eyes that she hadn't fully understood how incredible her performance was in the fight. She had the courage to fight against a stronger opponent and was able to hold her own for a very long time.
Davi, as someone who frequently had to face much stronger opponents, knew very well how difficult or even frightening such a fight could be.
