Ryane stepped forward a pace, jaw clenched, voice tight."Selina, you don't have to listen to him. He's manipulating you—again."
Kai's laugh was soft, almost pitiful."Still pretending you matter? Cute."
Selina finally stirred. Her hand gripped Kai's arm around her waist, then loosened. She turned her head slightly, not quite looking at either of them directly.
