Chapter 29 - April 22nd: The End Begins

Prince Wei strode forward and yanked the Sevpon from Kai's back.

"Now only 3 are left," Prince Wei said with an evil smirk, two Sevpons strapped to his back and two tightly gripped in his hands.

"No matter if you have our Sevpon, you will never get control over them," Kai said furiously, his eyes burning with defiance.

"Yes, you are right, but as soon you and your friends die, the Sevpons will start obeying me," Prince Wei replied, smirk never leaving his face.

"You will never be able to get all Sevpons, you ... umm umm—" Kai tried to shout but was suddenly silenced.

Prince Wei raised a single hand and magically sealed Kai's mouth shut. "Shh, it's time to say goodbye," he whispered coldly and pulled out the gleaming spear.

He raised it high, ready to swing it over Kai's neck—

Suddenly, a surge of magic burst forth, stopping the spear in mid-air. A blue glow wrapped around the weapon, halting it.

"What? This is my magic... but who is using it?" Prince Wei thought, eyes narrowing. In a blink, he was thrown back from Kai by a powerful magical force.

Wei appeared, eyes blazing. "Kai, are you alright?" he asked as he shattered the chains binding Kai.

"Yes, but I can't free Ryu from that huge concrete ball," Kai replied, breathing heavily.

Wei extended his hand and used his magic to crack open the massive stone sphere. With a loud rumble, it split and crumbled. Ryu fell out, unconscious, barely breathing.

"His oxygen was cut off... he's alive, but weak," Wei noted. He turned to Kai. "I already pulled Tony out of the pit. Keep them both safe."

"What about Prince Ryu and his brother? Are they safe now?" Kai asked quickly.

Wei nodded. "Yes, they're in our dimension with Master Feng. Keep Ryu and Tony safe—I'll handle Prince Wei."

Kai gathered Ryu and rushed toward Tony.

Prince Wei staggered to his feet and brushed off the dust. "Well, well, looks like you have the same powers as me," he said mockingly.

Wei stepped forward. "I know you're not the real Prince Wei. Who are you?"

"We've met before, but you were unconscious that time. I knew I'd seen you before... Now I realize—you look like Prince Wei," he responded cryptically.

"That's not the answer I want. Tell me who you really are!" Wei demanded.

"I have a deal: you give me your Sevpon, and I'll tell you who I am—and why I'm inside Prince Wei's body," he bargained.

Wei's voice was calm but cold. "You'll never get my Sevpon. And you still don't have control over those Sevpons."

"So you've rejected my deal... then I'll just snatch it from you," Prince Wei growled.

"Come and try," Wei shot back.

With a flash of movement, Prince Wei teleported in front of Wei and landed a heavy punch that sent Wei flying. He reappeared behind Wei and landed a swift kick, sending him tumbling again. As Prince Wei teleported once more, Wei anticipated and teleported above him, bringing down a brutal kick to his face.

Prince Wei stumbled, then dashed toward Wei. He vanished and reappeared under Wei's feet, sweeping his leg and knocking him off balance. He moved to strike again, but Wei activated a glowing forcefield just in time, halting the attack.

"You're done," Wei said and trapped Prince Wei inside a shimmering magical dome. Prince Wei pounded the barrier, unleashing every spell in his arsenal—but nothing broke through.

Wei began chanting a spell, a magic circle forming in the air between his palms. Energy flowed into the dome, and Prince Wei screamed in pain.

"He's trying to take me out of Prince Wei's body—" Prince Wei realized, panic rising.

With a desperate yell, Prince Wei teleported out of the trap just in time. The forcefield shattered as he escaped.

"Where did he go?" Wei whispered, eyes scanning the battlefield.

Suddenly, Prince Wei appeared and delivered a flying kick, launching Wei backward. With swift motion, he conjured a glowing bow and arrow made of magic and fired it. The arrow struck Wei's arm.

"Agh!" Wei cried out.

Before he could recover, Prince Wei lunged again, but Wei quickly flew upward using the power of his Sevpon. Hovering in the air, Wei pulled out his katana, glowing with energy, and slashed off the arrow lodged in his arm.

"Finally..." he muttered.

"Now give that to me," Prince Wei hissed.

"Never," Wei snapped.

Prince Wei summoned multiple holograms, each an exact duplicate of himself. They surrounded Wei from all directions.

They all charged at once. Wei gripped his katana, slammed it into the ground, and summoned a spiraling tornado that ripped through the illusionary clones. Only one—the Prince Wei—was struck.

The tornado died down and Wei charged forward. As Prince Wei tumbled mid-air, Wei delivered a devastating kick.

Prince Wei roared with fury and cast a dark spell. A strange seal appeared over Wei's Sevpon, cutting off its power for a short time.

Now powerless, Wei was left vulnerable. Prince Wei teleported behind him and kicked him into the sky. As Wei ascended, Prince Wei summoned a magic sword and followed him up.

With a brutal swing, he slashed off Wei's right arm—the one holding the Sevpon—and then severed his right leg.

Wei screamed in agony as he fell.

"Uhh... Uhh..." Wei groaned, bloodied and broken.

"Wei, are you alright?!" Kai rushed over, cradling him.

Prince Wei descended slowly, expression cold. "You should've accepted the deal."

Kai stood, trembling with rage. "I am gonna end you!"

"Stay down," Prince Wei said, raising his hand. Chains of light burst from his palm and bound Kai.

"Before I kill you, I need your magic," Prince Wei said calmly.

He raised his hand and began a ritual chant. As the spell completed, a stream of glowing energy flowed from Wei into Prince Wei.

But with his last bit of power, Wei opened a portal. Ryu, regaining some strength, used his powers to pull Wei and Kai through. Tony, carrying what strength he had left, followed and jumped in.

The portal snapped shut.

"No! Where did they go?!" Prince Wei shouted, fists clenched.

He paced in fury. "Now how do I get control over these Sevpons?" he whispered.

After a long pause, his eyes lit up. He opened another portal.

He stepped through—traveling back in time to the night of April 22nd, the night Ju-won had attacked Ryu and his friends.

He entered the cave silently. With a single spell, he put everyone inside into a deep sleep.

He walked to Tony and took the Shield of the Dragon. Without hesitation, he killed Tony with it.

Then he walked to Ryu and ended his life with the Scythe.

Next, he approached Kai and drove the Spear into his chest.

Finally, he stood over Wei and used the Katana to kill him too.

He noticed one more figure: Jin, unconscious.

"I don't have your Sevpon, so I have no reason to kill you," Prince Wei muttered.

And with that, he stepped back through the portal, vanishing into the timestream.
