Nora Brown widened her eyes and shouted, but the wind and waves were so strong that her voice was quickly blown away.
The sound of the wind over the sea soon drowned together with Zoey Sanders' cries for help.
Zoey Sanders fell into the sea at the stern of the ship, which was moving forward quickly.

Nora Brown was in a panic, watching as the ship moved farther away from Zoey Sanders. She turned and was about to run into the cabin to find the driver and have the ship turned back to rescue Zoey Sanders.
But after taking two steps, she stopped again, looking back at the spot where Zoey Sanders fell, and a thought suddenly popped into her mind.
