"Ahem, Loki , don't you trust me at all? How could I possibly be charmed by her?"
"?"
------------------------------
Loki stood back up on the ground, a face full of confusion, then as if remembering something suddenly looked enlightened!
Then, she smiled warmly at Freya.
"Hee hee hee, Freya, your charm doesn't work on our child!~"
The goddess lightly tapped her red lips with her fingertips; every movement exuded an alluring charm.
"Oh~? Is that so. That's really wonderful, hehe~ That makes me even more interested in your child~"
"Tch, you lecherous flower, you're so shocking!"
Facing Freya, Loki couldn't be careless; seeing the other's almost blatant curiosity instantly put her on guard.
Watching the conflict that arose between Loki and Freya because of him, Fron let out a bitter smile and hurriedly pulled Loki by the back to push her away.
After a string of assurances that there would be no problems, he finally returned with an apologetic look.
There were quite a few gods here who watched Fron and Freya interact with interest.
After all, that goddess, let alone the mortals of the lower realms, even gods like them kept their distance. Freya was simply too famous in the heavens. How many male gods had fallen under her skirt, too many to count.
So they were all very curious… how Fron would behave. Unfortunately for them, someone disappointed the gods greatly; even within a one-meter radius of the goddess, he showed no reaction, let alone being charmed.
"Hey hey hey, that child is immune to Freya's beauty?"
"Heh, so what. Don't you even see who that is? [Night Weaver] Fron Argon, he's so special, it would be strange if he were charmed, right? And do you think he lacks companions? Look, the [Sword Maiden] and the [Perseus] are at his side, tsk tsk tsk, Hermes must be bleeding inside!"
Indeed, it wasn't surprising, when their leader was kidnapped, Hermes' eyes turned green, but he had no real way to do anything; in the Familia, Asfi was the strong-willed one whose word was law.
...
"Hello, Lady Freya, this is our 'first meeting', right~.."
At these words, the goddess maintained her elegance, smiling with an unchanged expression.
"The name of the Night Weaver is famous even to me, I'm truly envious of Loki's good fortune."
'Loki's good fortune? Your insight is about even with her, I'd say fifty-fifty.'
Muttering that in his heart, Fron showed no change on the surface, smiling faintly and speaking softly.
"As far as I know, you seem… quite fond of that person. Is it really all right to just watch Lord Apollo reach out like that?"
"..." Their eyes met, and the originally harmonious atmosphere instantly froze.
The goddess narrowed her eyes slightly; though the change in expression lasted only a blink, Fron still caught it.
Even if the other was a deity, he did not fall behind in aura, instead, he matched her evenly.
He had the qualifications for this!
They faced off for a few seconds. Seeing the goddess say nothing, Fron understood her meaning, silently supporting Bell Cranel, and then... was this whole farce an exercise for a hero?
Shaking his head with a smile, Fron decided to stir the pot to the end.
"Since you already have plans, I won't disturb you." With that he bowed slightly, then left.
Pretending to walk out a few steps, he paused slightly, muttered something inaudible, and then returned to Loki's side.
Watching the three of them leave, Freya's thoughts spun rapidly.
'Heh…' The goddess' lips curved; she smiled happily.
"Things are looking more and more interesting. I thought it would be very dull until he grew up, but the lower realm is so wondrous, full of the unknown, truly delightful."
"Otta, let's go."
"Yes."
She glanced back slightly at Fron, who was chatting and laughing with the two girls, and the goddess left with a meaningful smile.
As if sensing something, Fron watched Freya and Otta leave the banquet hall, and he too smiled maliciously.
"… What you said is true! That means… that person really is targeting Bell Cranel?"
Asfi poked Fron's arm with her finger, lifting her small face with an expression of curiosity.
As for Ais, she wasn't curious at all.
No, in fact, she wasn't interested in anyone besides Fron.
Fron sneered, not answering Asfi's question directly, but the playful, spectator-like expression on his face revealed his gloating in his heart.
The Ishtar Familia secretly targeting them, how bold.
That petty-minded Fron remembered it all too well.
You, Ishtar, wanted to compete with Freya for dominance, plotting all kinds of schemes secretly. Now I'll poke at you and let you taste what it's like to have someone else do your dirty work for you.
Using Bell Cranel as bait to drag Freya's Familia in too, that would keep the Ishtar Familia busy and stop them from watching Loki.
With one less rival, Fron could focus solely on dealing with the dark faction.
...
Only a few people knew what happened at the banquet.
Even Loki didn't know about the conversation between Fron and Freya.
Likewise, Asfi and Loki were taciturn and kept their mouths shut.
Out of trust for their members, Hermes and Loki certainly didn't ask questions, though many were suspicious.
After all, who was Fron? Would he casually go find Freya for a chat?
Take Hermes, when he returned to the base that night, he had already started imagining scenarios; after all, he knew too much.
The next day, Fron's wish to sleep in was interrupted by bursts of chaos and explosions.
"Who is it, making trouble so early in the morning, what time is it anyway!"
Throwing off the covers in just his shorts, Fron yanked open the curtains and immediately began cursing in a rough voice!
Who doesn't have a morning temper? Especially Fron, who had been exhausted after upgrading equipment, finally getting to sleep in, only for the plan to be ruined again!
"Don't let me find out who it is, or I'll smash your heads to pieces!"
With a "thud," the southern window was pushed open from the inside, and the Amazoness sisters glared and cursed grimly.
"Eh? Fron. You were woken up too?"
"Ah, by the way… isn't this disturbing the peace of the city? The guards and the guild administration just watch and do nothing?"
"Tch, they must be secretly giving some benefits to the guild's head."
Tione was right.
By this time the Guild had long since become chaotic, especially the guild head's office, the usually peaceful Eina was slapping the table and arguing with Royman!

T/N: I don't understand one thing, till a few chapters back, Fron was scared of Freya & was mostly staying away from her; here suddenly he goes and asks about Bell when there was no need for that at all.
Just expressing my opinions~
