That level was something he had developed himself. He hadn't expected that after gathering everyone's power, the transformation wasn't into Saiyan God, but just Full Power.
"Not exactly! It's most likely due to the limitations of this world. You'll have a hard time transforming through that method here." Jiang Chen shook his head and explained.
"World limitations? Then does that mean we can't transform into Saiyan God anymore?" Goku asked, feeling a little frustrated.
"Of course you still can! In fact, transforming into a Saiyan God isn't limited to just that method. Mastering Divine Ki is another way, and that isn't restricted here." Jiang Chen smiled as he explained.
Just as he had said, the transformation into a Saiyan God indeed had two methods.
One was the method he had just mentioned.
The other was to master Divine Ki.
Take Zamasu, for example.
He had no righteous heart, nor did he have five righteous-hearted Saiyans to help him transform. He was able to transform purely because he was an apprentice Kaiōshin who had already mastered Divine Ki.
(There are a few explanations for Zamasu's transformation. One says he copied Goku's transformation. The other says he transformed on his own. I lean toward the latter, otherwise, his transformation wouldn't be pink, but blue or red.)
This method of transformation isn't bound by world restrictions. Even within the GT world, it should be possible.
Upon hearing Jiang Chen's words, the previously disappointed group's eyes lit up.
"Divine Ki? Aspara, can you teach me?" Son Goku asked eagerly.
"Of course! But I may need a favor from you all in return. As you've probably noticed, my base Battle Power is actually much weaker than yours. I need to strengthen my base Battle Power. In exchange, I can teach you how to master Divine Ki." Jiang Chen smiled and nodded, expressing his own request as well.
Compared to his original Time and Space, the GT version of the Dragon Ball cast had much higher base Battle Power.
Here, he could teach them, and they could teach him.
Once his base Battle Power increased, and he stacked Super Saiyan 4 with Saiyan God, Jiang Chen believed he might even be able to challenge Beerus.
"Hahaha! Great! It's a deal!" Goku's eyes lit up, and he nodded quickly, afraid Jiang Chen might change his mind.
Vegeta let out a cold snort but said nothing in the end. This kind of exchange wasn't a problem for him.
He could accept it. So, Jiang Chen decided to stay on Earth for a while. At the restored Lookout, Vegeta, Goku, and Jiang Chen became frequent visitors.
They trained there almost every day.
Vegeta and Goku helped sharpen Jiang Chen's base Battle Power, while Jiang Chen taught them how to master Divine Ki.
Eventually, aside from Vegeta and Goku, Son Gohan, Goten, Pan, and Trunks were all dragged over by Vegeta to join in the training.
Even though Goten, Trunks, and Gohan were extremely unwilling… Under Vegeta's fists, they could only obediently follow along with the training.
But whether it was actually effective was another story.
After all, at their current age…
Whether it was Son Gohan, Trunks, or Goten, none of them really had strong motivation to train anymore.
You could pressure them to train temporarily, but not forever. Jiang Chen quickly realized this was the core of the issue. He couldn't help but notice, whether it was Dragon Ball Z, Dragon Ball Super, or Dragon Ball GT, they all shared one trait:
'All of Goku and Vegeta's kids turned out weaklings.'
Son Gohan was like this. So was Goten. And Trunks as well.
And that… wasn't really a good outcome.
Goku himself had noticed this problem long ago. Even when he tried to change things, once he returned from a trip again and again, things always ended up the same.
…
A few days later…
Jiang Chen thought it over, and he then decided to gather Goku, Vegeta, Gohan, Goten, Trunks, and Pan all together.
"Everyone, I know you're not really fond of training, and you're not that into combat either. But the crises of this world… in the future, they might depend entirely on you."
After a brief silence, Jiang Chen looked toward Son Gohan and the others and spoke seriously.
"You might think that with Goku and Vegeta around, everything can be resolved. But if nothing unexpected happens, Goku will probably leave this world before long. And Vegeta will likely follow. At that point, the fate of Earth, perhaps even the entire universe, might fall solely on your shoulders."
Just as a few of them were about to speak, Jiang Chen cut in again.
He wasn't joking.
In the original story, Son Goku left with Shenron.
As for Vegeta, after observing him these past few days, Jiang Chen had decided to recruit him as a Time and Space Patrolman. And once someone becomes a Time and Space Patrolman, they naturally have to leave their current Time and Space.
Even though Goku's departure might cause only a small disturbance in this timeline,
It would still be a disturbance. Small doesn't mean insignificant.
Moreover, Jiang Chen couldn't be sure whether some of the Dragon Ball fan continuations would also manifest in the GT Time and Space.
If he remembered correctly, there were quite a few GT sequels in fan works.
"What?! Aspara Ojisan… leave?" Son Gohan couldn't help but speak, his gaze falling on Jiang Chen.
The others were more or less the same.
After decades of time, they had long grown used to Goku's presence. Now, hearing these words, they all couldn't help but grow anxious. Especially since Jiang Chen's tone clearly didn't imply normal death.
If it were simply death, they wouldn't worry so much. Thanks to Goku's connections with North Kaiō and King Yemma, death and life made little difference for him.
But this wasn't death, and that changed everything.
"Yes, what I mean by 'leaving' isn't simply dying. It means leaving this world, or more accurately, this Time and Space. If my senses are correct, Goku carries the power of Dragon God Zalama. Unless something unexpected happens, he'll likely be guided away by Dragon God Zalama." Jiang Chen spoke in a low voice, contemplating as he did.
As someone who himself possessed the power of Dragon God Zalama, Jiang Chen could clearly sense the immense, overwhelming Dragon God power radiating from Goku.
It was even stronger than his own. And when he recalled how GT ended, with the Dragon Balls merging into Goku's body, Jiang Chen naturally understood what was going on.
(If I remember correctly, when I watched Dragon Ball GT as a kid, I think Goku was called "Dal" in the dub. Not sure when it changed to "Vegeta.")
