The unlucky Dreamweaver had just woken up.
Before he could even process what had happened, he saw the famous songstress, Ms. Robin, giving him a kind and amiable smile.
That smile didn't look like it portended anything good.
Robin looked at him and asked softly, "Mr. Dreamweaver, have you ever thought about becoming the head of the Iris Family?"
The wooden-headed fellow's face was instantly drenched the moment he heard this, tears streaming down uncontrollably.
He thought of Robin's status and position, then of his own, and then he heard Robin ask him such a question.
When had the wooden-headed guy ever encountered something like this?
With a thud, he fell to his knees.
Did you think he was about to pledge his allegiance?
He let out a wail and burst into tears, crying, "Absolutely not! Please, just let the Oak Family give me a quick end! Which of us Dreamweavers doesn't know that any head of the Iris Family who refuses to be a dog either ends up dead or missing! The one who had it best ended up in prison! Ms. Robin, you're not doing me a favor, you just think I haven't died soon enough!"
Robin's face was filled with embarrassment. She hadn't expected to encounter such an awkward situation right as she was about to start painting a grand picture to recruit people.
For a moment, she was at a loss, not knowing how to respond to such a nonsensical question.
"You're really useless! Let me handle this!"
Stelle felt that this woman, Robin, had no skills apart from some Harmony abilities. She was wasting her title as a songstress, not being cunning at all.
She reached out and asked the Dreamweaver, "Do you want a platform where you can build dreams as you please? Do you want a dream-building job that's open and transparent, without family interference, where you deal directly with consumers? Do you want a place where more Dreamweavers can compete and exchange ideas, instead of being stuck in one place building the same cities day after day?"
The wooden-headed Dreamweaver immediately raised his head and asked in pleasant surprise, "What? Such a good place actually exists?!"
He quickly followed up, "Is there a contact method? How is the profit shared? Are there any good work subsidies? Who manages the platform? Can they withstand retaliation from the Family? Will I be in trouble after being poached?"
Firefly watched this scene in shock. She couldn't imagine that this was the same Dreamweaver who had been completely unmoved by the temptation of becoming a Family Head.
Sister Stelle was already used to such shocked gazes. She hadn't learned much else on her journey, but following Noldrei, she had long since learned what "fishing" was, and what it meant to borrow power from others.
Sister Stelle puffed out her chest and said proudly, "Do you know who's on our team? This one! Acheron, from the Galaxy Rangers, she repays every slight! This one, a Memokeeper, a big shot from the Garden of Recollection! This one, the sister of Penacony's Oak Family Head, the spokesperson for building a new Penacony with us! And this one... is...? Huh? Firefly, what faction are you from? I forgot to ask when I was recruiting you."
Firefly immediately became very nervous. She stammered, "Stelle... Stelle..."
"Stelle what? Just say it!" Seeing her hesitation, Stelle urged her on.
Firefly lowered her head, gritted her teeth, and said, "I'm a Stellaron Hunter!"
[My car! My car! Quick, ask her where she put my car?!]
Noldrei's anger flared up, and he immediately wanted to teach this dishonest girl, Firefly, a lesson.
'Wait, wait, big bro, I'll ask later. I'm in the middle of posturing right now. Calm down, calm down...'
Stelle's expression changed, and she quickly soothed her big brother's unstable emotions.
[F—! @#$%...&()—)!]
'Damn! Such foul language! To be able to anger my big bro, a man of such composure, to this extent! The Stellaron Hunters are really something else.'
Stelle nodded awkwardly and continued speaking to the wooden-headed Dreamweaver, "And me, I'm different. I'm a good friend of the heir to a certain Interastral Peace Corporation's Thousand Stars Group, a super assistant to Herta and Ruan Mei of the Genius Society, and an honorary ally of the Luofu Xianzhou. You've heard of the Xianzhou and the Corporation, right? Who would dare to bully people from the Xianzhou and the Corporation?"
"And I'm even more different. I got off the same train as the Clockmaker. I am a Nameless of the Astral Express, here to inherit the Clockmaker's legacy!"
The wooden-headed guy immediately broke down. He shouted, "It's over! It's all over! You actually have a ruthless Stellaron Hunter among you! I knew there was no such thing as a free lunch! I must have learned your terrible secret!"
"The Astral Express! The Stellaron Hunters?! So it's true!"
"It's widely rumored throughout the universe that the Stellaron Hunters are the Astral Express Crew's 'white gloves'! Wherever the Astral Express doesn't get its way, they arrange for the Stellaron Hunters to go there first and create terrible chaos!"
"Damn it! I actually saw you all appear together. You're even secretly backing Ms. Robin, the sister of the Oak Family Head, to take power! So it's true! You've been colluding across the universe all along!"
Firefly looked at the young man in shock. Such a thought had never even crossed her mind.
But on second thought, it seemed to be fucking true.
Wherever the Astral Express appeared, the Stellaron Hunters would show up first. The two groups had clashed many times, yet neither side had suffered a single casualty.
What a profound friendship that was!
Stelle was also shocked. She looked at Firefly, giving her a questioning glance.
'Could it be that Uncle Welt and Himeko have been communicating with you behind my back?! How come I don't know about this?!'
'Don't tell me the confrontational atmosphere when they talked on the Express was all an act?'
Stelle's little mind was greatly shaken.
Firefly thought: 'I don't know either...'
Firefly suddenly showed a wronged expression. When had she ever thought about these things? Now that the wooden-headed guy had said it, she too felt that there was a certain tacit understanding between the Stellaron Hunters and the members of the Astral Express Crew.
Wasn't she the same? She had no intention of being hostile to the people from the Astral Express.
'Could it be that our boss is really the Astral Express's white glove?'
'No! I can't let this secret get out!'
Firefly's eyes suddenly turned fierce. She stared coldly at the Dreamweaver, as if he were the damned person who had discovered the secret.
The Dreamweaver vaguely sensed this chilling killing intent.
This time, he truly knelt. He quickly shouted, "Don't kill me! Don't kill me! I'll join you! I'll join you! I'll do whatever you ask! Don't worry, I won't say a thing. I know the rules of the Stellaron Hunters; anyone who opposes you will not have a good end!"
A subtle expression appeared on Robin's face. For a moment, she didn't know whether she should be glad that this person had become the first Penacony member of her organization.
